Picross S4 Reviews
Picross S4 is more of the same, yes, but that's not exactly a bad thing given what this series is designed to offer.
Picross S4 is one of the best things to happen during the lockdown. With 482 (485 if you have saves from the previous iterations) puzzles, there's plenty to eat and a lot of adorable Pixel Art to discover, espcially with those HUGE Extra puzzles. It still feels like Jupiter could be more generous with non classic Picross grids and that some changes could be made, in particular concerning touchsceen controls and multiplayer. But, it's fine.

While Picross as a game itself doesn't offer much in the sense of variety, the developer has obviously made an effort to come up with new, interesting alternatives for the gameplay, which makes it interesting, and a good addition for puzzle-lovers' Nintendo Switches.
Even with it being merely more of the same, the same in question is still one of the best designed and most satisfying puzzle games

With how consistent Jupiter's Picross quality has been over the years, it isn't a surprise that Picross S4 is very good. With just shy of 500 puzzles, it's worth your puzzling time. I just hope that in the future, Color Picross can have a bigger presence and maybe someday touchscreen controls can return.
