Star Wars: Squadrons Review Summary

StrongCritic Consensus

Fantasy Fulfilled

In both gameplay and style, players live out the starfighter pilot fantasy.

Fun, Challenging Gameplay

Squadrons has great controls, solid VR support, a fun campaign, and just enough game modes.

Wanting More

Many critics felt this was a nice launching off point, but were left wanting more.

Star Wars: Squadrons isn't the epic Star Wars tale found in the rest of the franchise's games, but it is still a lot of fun and perfectly delivers what it sets out to do.

Metro GameCentral

An unexpectedly involved space combat simulator that manages to replicate the thrills of the 90s X-Wing and TIE Fighter games with surprising clarity – and an excellent VR mode.

The single-player campaign teaches you the ropes, but achieves little else. Multiplayer is always fun and is exactly what it needs to be to wow Star Wars fans

Involved flight mechanics and the pure joys of dogfighting fill Star Wars: Squadrons with plenty of highlights, even if its campaign and multiplayer experiences can leave you wanting.
