The Nintendo Switch 2 is real, and it's coming at some point this year. Still, even with that much information, including copious amounts of hardware leaks, it still remains to be seen what games will launch on the Nintendo Switch successor.
Will Wind Waker and Twilight Princess finally return?
As it stands, we do know that there will be a new Mario Kart game. Additionally, Metroid Prime 4 has been confirmed for release later this year. But that's pretty much it, at least until Nintendo hosts its April 2 presentation.
That said, when the Switch 2 does launch and throughout its life cycle, gamers can expect support from Take-Two, the publisher behind Grand Theft Auto, Borderlands and more.
As part of its latest financial earnings report, where Grand Theft Auto 6 was also confirmed for a Fall 2025 release, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive shared that the company "fully expects" to support the upcoming handheld hybrid console. “We’ve had obviously a long-standing relationship with Nintendo,” Zelnick said. “We’ve supported the platform when it made sense for the individual release.”
