Hotel Dusk: Room 215's protagonist, Detective Kyle Hyde, is self-destructive, sardonic, and impatient. He's an ex-detective now working as a door-to-door salesman, who is compelled to put on his detective hat one last time because of all the mysterious incidents occurring in his vicinity.

The game was originally released on the Nintendo DS in 2006, having been developed by the now-defunct company Cing, a Japanese developer that primarily made point-and-click adventure games. A sequel, Last Window: The Secret of Cape West, was released in 2010, the last game released by Cing before the studio was shuttered.
Normally, a company renewing a trademark isn't any cause for speculation. It's simply done to protect intellectual property rights in case the company ever wants to use the trademark...
