Developer and publisher Kinetic Games has announced that its ghost-hunting game Phasmophobia is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 sometime next year.
As revealed during the Game Awards, Phasmophobia's Switch 2 version is set to launch in the same year during which the game's 1.0 release is scheduled, and while there's been no confirmation that they will coincide, a simultaneous release seems like too much of a good opportunity to pass up.
The Switch 2 release of Phasmophobia will come after last year's PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, which passed the million sales mark (independently of the PC version) shortly after their release, going on to break the three million barrier in April this year.
Kinetic CEO Daniel Knight says that Phasmophobia's 1.0 release is "on track" for next year, and that he and his studio are "over the moon" to finally be able to reveal the Switch 2 version of the game.
It's not yet clear whether the Switch 2 version of the game will support crossplay, but given that players are able to team up to hunt ghosts across Phasmophobia on other platforms, it'd be a surprise if the Switch 2 was exempt.
