Thanks To Its Impressive TGA Sweep, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's Peak Player Count Has Doubled

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was an impressive victory lap for Sandfall Interactive, sweeping up nearly every single award it was nominated for at TGA, making it the most successful game in the event's history, even surpassing Baldur's Gate 3.

Unsurprisingly, then, everyone is curious to find out what all the fuss is, so Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is seeing a huge renaissance on Steam.

Before the event, it was hovering at a concurrent peak of around 17,206 players, dipping as low as 10,000, but after taking home the coveted Game of the Year prize, that peak doubled, rising by 49 percent to an impressive 34,999 - a number that only continues to climb as we enter the weekend.

Sandfall announced two months ago that the game had sold five million copies.

Granted, while December has been quiet up until now, interest in Clair started bubbling back in November, where it hit a peak of 26,233 players, a staggering 72 percent increase from October. And while much of the debate online is around whether Clair really is that good, veering a little too much into 'popular thing bad', players are lapping it up, as Sandfall's debut still holds an Overwhelmingly Positive...
