The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is what I would call a forever game. Like Morrowind before it, it has withstood the test of time and continues to receive daily additions through modding and custom scenes. Plus, Bethesda isn't afraid to remaster it for pretty much any platform on Earth.
That said, it didn't get many expansions. Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn added additional content, but as of 2013, Bethesda says it's "moved on" from the game. It's been a sore spot ever since for the community, which feels like there was a lot more to explore in the world of Skyrim, especially given that the gap between Elder Scrolls games is now at an all-time high.
Over on X, Bethesda announced the reveal of Heart of the Mountain, showing that Skyrim can never really die.
Showcased by way of the official Bethesda X account for The Elder Scrolls, The Heart of the Mountain is out now, and is a "fully-voiced, story-focused" expansion that sports new biomes and a lot more. Crafted by DarthVitrial, it features nearly 70 unique quests, as well as 20 Radiant Quests, and an additional follower named Audrey with "over 800 lines of dialogue."
