Fans of The Elder Scrolls have been waiting a long time for the next mainline entry, but word of an Elder Scrolls 6 release date is still nowhere in sight. That doesn't mean fans have had nothing to enjoy in recent years, ranging from official releases like The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered to alternatives like Avowed. All the same, it hasn't been the most exciting time to be a fan of the franchise.

The next big update for the series certainly doesn't help matters, at least for a portion of the community. Rather than launching a new game, Bethesda is set to remove a currently available Elder Scrolls game from the market.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades will shut down on June 30, 2026, as announced in-game in March and shared by Reddit user Avian81. Those playing the game until then can buy all items in the store for either 1 Gem or 1 Sigil apiece. The game has already been delisted from storefronts, although the application remains functional until the official shutdown.
