The announcement of an upcoming remake for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has certainly been the most exciting part of the 40th anniversary celebrations for the game so far. Though we didn't get to see too much of it at the time, it is releasing later this year, so we shouldn't have long to wait before we get to see more.
In the meantime, Nintendo aren't the only ones working on resurrecting the classic title for a new generation, with fan developers doing a pretty spectacular job of bringing it back off their own bat. Now, one of those projects has just hit a major milestone, and you can download and give it a go for yourself today.
As first reported by DSO Gaming, developer CryZENx, who has become known for their work porting Nintendo games into Unreal Engine 5, has made a demo of his fan remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time available for download. Built in Unreal Engine 5.7.4, the tech demo focuses on the “Inside Jabu-Jabu’s Belly” quest, culminating in the fight against Barinade.
