PC Invasion's Reviews

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on PC is a port with some questionable drawbacks, like the lack of a lobby mode and no rollback netcode on launch. But it's still the same great fighting game beloved by many.

Although it has enjoyable movement and a solid story, Aztech Forgotten Gods feels like a shell of a game that's been stitched together.

There was a lot riding on the return to Cantha in Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons. It's an iconic location steeped in the franchise's history. Fortunately, the latest expansion delivers an experience worthy of the hype. The end of the Dragon Cycle narrative will challenge you, teach you exciting new skills, and leave you feeling content. The story isn't overly long, but there are plenty of activities to keep you busy for many hours around Cantha.

8 / 10 - WWE 2K22
Mar 9, 2022

WWE 2K22 does have some notable problems, such as modes that feel lacking or tacked on. Thankfully, it manages to excel in other departments, including visuals, controls, and performance. Although its predecessors set a very low bar, WWE 2K22 still cleared it and exceeded expectations.

Babylon's Fall has fast, flashy combat and a generally enjoyable structure, but is packed with issues, ranging from its limited co-op function to live service elements, which appear to have sealed its fate.

Pretty, action-packed, and fun while it lasts, Shadow Warrior 3 is well made as long as there isn't any dialogue, but there's so little content that the price tag makes it truly hard to recommend.

9 / 10 - GRID Legends
Feb 24, 2022

GRID Legends absolutely nails its role as a tried and true "simcade" experience thanks to well-balanced gameplay mechanics, a healthy variety of vehicle types and track designs and just an overall fun feel. It's easily one of the most well-built racers I've played in a while.

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream is the best installment in the franchise yet. The vast innovations made to the alchemy gameplay loop make sure that the franchise's main selling point is the best it has ever been. Not only will Atelier fans love this, but just about any JRPG fan will have a great time playing it.

8 / 10 - Monark
Feb 16, 2022

Monark delivers a satisfying JRPG experience, with a creative and unique battle system and creepy demon-filled world. But a weak story and characters prevent the game from truly delivering something stellar.

While it does have some notable flaws, namely a somewhat messier campaign progression, Total War: Warhammer III still manages to impress. With multiple factions and legendary lords to choose from, along with a plethora of improvements to existing mechanics, you're bound to have one hell of a good time.

Rise of the Third Power squanders its potential and ultimately falls into mediocrity, with inconsistent art and sound direction and uninteresting turn-based mechanics. There's lots of good in this game, but it's not enough to outweigh the more disappointing shortfalls.

If you want an MMORPG that respects the time of casual players, while also giving hardcore players plenty of content to keep them busy, then Lost Ark is worth considering. It's combat is wonderfully fun. The story is entertaining and packed with epic moments. Plus, there is a wide variety to the endgame content, including equalized arena PvP.
