Daymare has some good ideas, but it has too many flaws to do anything besides remind survival horror fans of better games.
In its quest to mimic other successful franchises, Amplify Creations has created the Frankenstein of video games. Decay of Logos is an unbalanced, unresponsive mess with little soul to pick up the slack. There are far too many better alternatives to waste any time with this fundamentally broken adventure.
Layers of Fear 2 has some mildly redeeming qualities, but there are too many better horror games available to waste your time and money on something that requires you to dig so hard for fun.
Fade To Silence's cool weather system and interesting ideas can't make up for a derivative combat system, samey open world design, poor story, and several severe bugs. This is an adventure you won't want to survive.
Left Alive won't satisfy fans of stealth or of Front Mission. With unengaging gameplay, erratic AI, and a lack of polish across the board, Left Alive won't be remembered in the years to come.
Déraciné had potential but its disappointing to see it become nothing but a rudimentary slog.
The Good, The Bad and The Augmented isn't exactly bad, it's just that it does so surprisingly little compared to the last piece of content, that it feels lacking with the sequel expected within the next year. And this town isn't big enough for the both of them. Pretty hard pass unless you're dying for more Surge.
V-Rally 4 requires immense suffering just to eke a modicum of enjoyment from its frustrating, archaic game design. The few things it does right is not remotely worth the price of admission.
Fallout 76 is not a completely broken game. It's not absolutely devoid of enjoyment, and every once in a while, it can live up to the franchise name it bears. The problem is that that enjoyment is buried under a mountainous pile of long stretches of boredom and emptiness, tedious and mind-numbing quests, baffling design choices, unbelievably bad technical issues, and a host of other problems that turn this into an experience that, frankly, has no business being out on shelves as a full-priced AAA game in its current state. What's concerning is that even if the issues that can be fixed through patches and updates are ironed out, the core fundamentals of the game are deeply flawed.
In an era of standout fighting games, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's lack of content and character customization and mediocre gameplay mark a step down from previous games in the series and an unacceptable lack of effort from Square Enix. Fans of Dissidia should stick with the PSP games. They're better.
Home Sweet Home is a poor video game whose few good ideas don't make up for the snore of an experience it is.
Soon to be mentioned in a "not working as intended" faux apology, Destiny 2's Curse of Osiris DLC is just bad. It offers nothing of substance and wastes all of its good ideas while asking you to pay $20. Skip it if you value your sanity, raid lair or no raid lair.
Neither the updated career mode, challenge mode can save this game from the fact it really can't offer much to someone wanting a little more involvement from their gameplay.
Charming at first but ultimately the victim of lofty ambition, Hello Neighbor is a game that simply can't capitalize off of its interesting premise. Quality-wise, it should have stayed in Early Access for longer until its vision was properly nailed down.
Micro Machines: World Series has the presentation nailed and feels like playing with toy cars again. However, once the glitter of that presentation wears off you'll find a game that controls way too loosely to give any kind of satisfaction and more frequently provides frustration, and furthermore nothing to really incentivize you to push beyond that without anything to unlock. To paraphrase the Micro Machines Slogan, “If it doesn't control good, it's barely worth playing.”
Overall, Troll And I tries too many things at the same time. It's a classic case of a development studio getting over ambitious and failing to achieve their goals with the game. With more development time, Troll And I could have provided a memorable experience but right now players should stay well away from it.
Super Mario Maker is a thoroughly self defeating product in every sense of the word, and as it exists, it simply should not have been pushed out to the market.
MXGP2 has a distinctive crowd and does well to serve it. However, the game does nothing to bring about anything of encouragement for an audience that's now outgrown it's rebellious phase.
Don’t be confused. Umbrella Corps isn’t a bad game because it’s Resident Evil. Umbrella Corps is a bad game because it’s iterative, boring and ugly. The most interesting thing I experienced was when a bird landed on my head and killed me.
Island Tour retards the Mario Party formula, removing all the new features of Mario Party 9, while giving very little back to help keep players engaged.
