Senran Kagura: Peach Ball is a fun and exciting take on the pinball genre, but within the big-breasted ninja girl series Marvelous is known for.

7 / 10.0 - Bugs Must Die
Jul 1, 2019

Its not the best game in the genre I’ve ever played, but it does enough right to get a recommendation from me if you are in the market for a challenging new twin stick shooter. Luckily, the game has a free demo on its Steam page, so go give it a try.

8.5 / 10.0 - Judgment
Jun 19, 2019

Judgment has its faults that are hard to ignore, but its deep story, intense combat, and a wide variety of side activities kept me glued to it for days on end. Judgment is a great game that is well worth the attention to Yakuza fans and newcomers alike.

8 / 10.0 - Unruly Heroes
Jun 3, 2019

The artstyle, playstyle, music, and dedication that was put into the project speaks for itself. With such a low price-tag, there is very little reason to not give Unruly Heroes a playthrough of your own, be it solo or with friends.

7.5 / 10.0 - Dragon Star Varnir
Jun 3, 2019

If you want an enjoyable RPG to add to your collection or are a fan of Idea Factory/Compile Heart or dragons and buxom magic users, by all means, add this one to your collection and devour all the fun and engagement it offers.

7.5 / 10.0 - Team Sonic Racing
May 31, 2019

Team Sonic Racing has just enough characters that you unlock naturally through the game on enjoyable and vibrant tracks, while a good soundtrack plays in the background. Besides, while there is a bit of rubberband AI, it’s not nearly as bad as in the Mario sports titles. So, if you’re looking for a fun and enjoyable kart racer, you could do a lot worse than picking up Team Sonic Racing.

I think there’s a pretty good ARPG here somewhere, and after a few post-launch updates and tweaks, it might end up being something genuinely really good. As it stands now though, Warhammer: Chaosbane just has too many flaws for me to give it a full recommendation just yet.

If you did enjoy it and have forgotten most of what happened, or have never played the game at all and want to experience the Final Fantasy series transition from old school games to the newer mechanics that have been introduced in FFXIII and FFXV, then picking up Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is a great choice.

Hell is other Demons is the embodiment of a solid core that was built upon well. The gameplay is challenging, while offering more options to you on how you beat numerous styles of challenges.

8 / 10.0 - Gato Roboto
May 25, 2019

Gato Roboto features some charming animations and character interaction between Gary and his beloved kitty cat. The only truly disappointing thing I found about the game is that its over way too soon.

5 / 10.0 - Observation
May 22, 2019

Observation isn’t so bad it’s fun to hate, its just mundane enough to make me want to forget it ever even happened. At least games as bad as The Quiet Man give me something to joke about, this title only took hours off my lifespan.

7.5 / 10.0 - Layers of Fear 2
May 22, 2019

It certainly has its fair share of flaws, and anyone looking for a horror game that’s less linear and features more gameplay might be a bit disappointed by it, but Layers of Fear 2 is still worth experiencing at least once.

As a tactical combat game, Druidstone offers some solid combat encounters, challenging missions with good objective variety, around 20 hours of content, and a unique take on character progression and gear, even if its not quite as deep as a traditional RPG.

I was worried that Creative Assembly may not be able to do justice on the Three Kingdoms, but I am more than happy to have been proven wrong. Now if you will excuse me, I need to get sleep, but….one more turn.

6.5 / 10.0 - Rage 2
May 14, 2019

Going into release I was actually pretty hyped for this game. An over-the-top shooter with goofy weapons and powers sounded like something right up my alley, but what we got is yet another forgettable entry in the Rage franchise. It does nothing to warrant being brought back from the dead, so I have to ask Bethesda, why bother? Maybe some things are best left in the past.

8.5 / 10.0 - Shakedown: Hawaii

Apart from the slight foibles I’ve mentioned, however, Shakedown: Hawaii is a solid experience, full of fun segments and a ton of laughs.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a wonderful new IP from an up-and-coming studio like Asobo. The game takes a rarely adapted period from our history and builds it into a wholly unique experience, with a character-driven adventure that will have you wanting to see how it all ends. I really can’t recommend the game enough if you are looking for something fresh and new.

Even with nothing major done wrong, it is hard not to recommend games of similar genres unless you are on a budget. If you are however, Hellmut can be a very satisfying bite-sized morsel. If nothing else, it puts your reflexes to the test and offers a genuine challenge.

8.5 / 10.0 - Slay The Spire
May 7, 2019

There will be many runs where you won’t really have much of a chance, and if that might turn you off. However, Slay the Spire still offers a nice variety of content, an addicting card-based combat system, and a compelling gameplay loop that will keep you coming back for more punishment.
