10 / 10.0 - Persona 5
Apr 29, 2017

Beautiful and masterfully executed, it's not a question weather you should buy the game, it's a question of why haven't you bought the game yet. You will not get a better RPG or gaming experience for quite some time, so do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

10 / 10.0 - Cuphead

The game is a masterpiece of style, presentation, gameplay, and ultimately overall design – all of it comes together in an absolutely brilliant package that I haven't experienced often at all in my entire lifetime.

10 / 10.0 - Ray Gigant
Aug 11, 2016

The monsters all look fantastic, and the artwork by Fuji Mogeo is probably the best I’ve seen in a game outside of Vanillaware. I’ve already ordered copies of Demon Gaze and Stranger of Sword City thanks to Ray Gigant giving me an itch, which I’ve yet to scratch.

10 / 10.0 - Let it Die
Dec 31, 2016

Let it die is a game for gamers; self referential, challenging, while being extremely fair in all aspects of the gameplay. While being a free to play game, it 100% does not feel like a free to play game. With tones to explore, collect, craft, and kill, there is a whole lot of game here to be had, and the fact that it is free makes it a must download.

Over all, Poochy and Yoshi’s Woolly World is a game exploding with vibrant colors, great gameplay, and fun levels that’s polished to mirror-like shine. It is a perfect platformer that can be enjoyed by both new and old who want to take a break from the overly realistic worlds presented in games today. If you have a 3DS, I highly suggest you pick it up.

Path of Exile is one of the best Free to Play games ever created if not the best. With its continual updates, engrossing community, great story, interesting characters, superior voice acting, ability to shape your play style in amazing and interesting ways, and that fact you will have the same play experience if you chose to drop money on it or not: it's simply a home run. Even stacked up against $60 AAA games of the last decade, Path of Exile: The Fall of Oriath crushes 99% of them.

10 / 10.0 - Yakuza Kiwami
Sep 2, 2017

Yakuza Kiwami in an amazing remake. Not only did they take the time to polish the game for current generation hardware, but they also took the time to see the flaws that the original game had and obliterate them to make a more perfect product.

If you have been putting off picking this title up, now is the time. I could not think of a better way of spending 200 hours of my gaming time, and after you play Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition, nether will you.

10 / 10.0 - SteamWorld Dig 2
Sep 29, 2017

SteamWorld Dig 2 is an amazing game and a must own if you have a Nintendo Switch. It takes everything its predecessor did right, refines it, then presents it to the player in one of the cleanest packages I have seen in a long while. It buries its competition in the metroidvania genre and stands as an example of what others games in the genre should be, instead of what they are. Go pick this one up.

Bluepoint Games did the impossible: they took one of the greatest games of all time, rebuilt it from the ground up, made sure it didn't lose a bit of its impact. For that alone, this game is an achievement. It's only one of the best PlayStation 4 games of all time, it's also one of the greatest remakes of all time. It's not the game you remember: it's even better.

With its modern accoutrements, slick design, heartfelt storyline, lovable party members, long (100+ hours) quest, and ridiculously impressive character animations, I can't imagine anyone who loves JRPGs not completely adoring this game to the point of mental illness.

There is so much content packed into this absolutely massive party fighter, and there will be years upon years of enjoyment to be had out of Ultimate. I really can’t believe a game like this exists in this day and age, and yet here we are. This is a must have game.

I really can’t get enough of the game, and I feel like it takes all the things I love from the Souls series but throws it within a new setting, with further refined mechanics. It’s a thoroughly refreshing take on the legacy Miyazaki and his team have established, and I really hope we can get more of it in the future. For now, I’m going to go try speed-running various regions in Sekiro again.

10 / 10.0 - Warriors Orochi 4
Oct 16, 2018

Do I recommend Warriors Orochi 4? If you are a fan of Musou games, beat em ups or hack-n-slash games, I absolutely recommend picking this game up as soon as possible. I have already poured dozens of hours into it, and I know that I am going to be pouring hundreds more as the days go on.
