The game is an appealing blend of shooter and RPG, and it offers some truly unique opportunities to participate in some really large-scale battles. If I were a little better at shooters or I had a larger group of interested friends, then PlanetSide 2 would definitely be a game I would like to try out on my Playstation 4.
It's obvious that this is only the starting point for what will be a killer franchise, however Titanfall isn't as revolutionary, or even evolutionary, as some other journalists have claimed. Instead, it feels like a small stepping stone across a pond, a pond which leads to something very special on the other side. It's just a bit of pity Respawn couldn't take us to the other side first, instead making us jump to a stepping stone first.
Zenimax and Bethesda have gotten their baby out of the first gate. Despite the flailing and wailing of some impossible to please souls about the downtime and what they were owed, everything has been handled cleverly and carefully.
World of Warplanes is not for the faint of heart, and the frustration levels may be too much for some to bear, but the overall experience is certainly worth a try.
Evolve is a great game in my eyes, especially for a free game. I had a lot of fun playing it. Though I enjoyed playing as a Monster, I much preferred playing as a Hunter.
To summarize, Elite: Dangerous is awe-inspiringly beautiful, but a time sink of galactic proportions.
There has never been a better time to check out Heroes of the Storm or come back to it. I strongly suggest you give it a look!
There is simply no other game on the market like Dungeon of the Endless. The game mechanics are diverse and each play attempt is just as exciting as the last. This is a great game for anyone who's sick of scripted gameplay and wants to try something that's clever and daring. Not only is the game itself amazing but the soothing synthesized chiptunes created by FlybyNo set the dark and dreary atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and pickup Dungeon of the Endless, it's fairly inexpensive and well worth the money.
So when It comes down to it, is the game fun? I think it is, but I do have some concerns over the micro transactions.
It combines high-quality textures, voice acting (albeit not that great), action combat, an expansive world and open-ended leveling with a major focus on player interaction. Instead of trying to reinvent the MMO, Black Desert Online has focused on things that work for other games and it puts a fresh spin on them.
Kudos to Frontier Developments for bringing back a classic franchise and trying to realize it’s original vision with the technology to make it happen, but there’s unfortunately not enough here to look at or do. There is just the VR experience at this moment, but I’ve seen better utility of the Oculus Rift for more immersive and realistic experiences than this. The idea is sound, but the overall fun and enjoyment just isn’t quite up to par. Perhaps some TIE fighters and a Death Star is needed or anything else to help make this trip through space a lot less lonely.
Legion is everything it was promised to be and more; a part apology letter, part defiant challenge to any other games in the market thinking the old wolf was weakening. It is a love letter to its playerbase, to its most committed players, as well as the most approachable welcome to anybody coming back or starting fresh. It is the anti-Warlords of Draenor and, with the exception of FFXIV, the greatest comeback possibly in gaming history.
Stormblood is another heaping helping of what Final Fantasy XIV offers the MMORPG genre. It's set in its ways and is absolutely confident with providing fans with more of the things they already love. With an MMORPG experience this good, that's hard to find fault in.
Splatoon 2 is fun in the very basic sense of the word. It's nothing fancy, but it's unique and easy enough to learn, but wonderfully complex once you get the hang of it. It may be vying for esports stardom but it doesn't need it. It's only a shame that Nintendo still hasn't brought the social features up to take advantage of their audience and cut single console local player.
If you own a Switch, this is a must buy, especially if you already bought up everything for MK8D. It's Nintendo reminding us they know how to do fun, even if the online community is still lagging behind. If you're on the fence about investing in Nintendo again, I'm starting to feel like now is the time to get in.

If you're looking for a deep, highly realistic experience, this is exactly where you want to be.
Summerset is a worthy addition to ESO and will provide hours of engaging gameplay that takes your character to some of the game's most striking locales.
While The Division 2 may have some things that still need fixing, it’s a work of testament for the team at Massive Entertainment, showing that they’ve learned from previous mistakes (for the most part), and that they’re ready to move forward with the model that players rightfully deserve.
Elsweyr has a ton of content for everyone to enjoy, from sweeping landscapes, to delves, and lore scattered across the countryside.
