One of the worlds most popular franchises mixes with arguably the worlds favourite building bricks.
There are plenty of golf games and mini golf games on the market... A Little Golf Journey more or less combines both normal and mini golf and also adds some other quirks to stand out in the best possible way from a very large crowd.
Visual novel meets match 3 game where choices... somewhat matter.
Another must-have Switch exclusive, and a modern reminder why the mother of the Metroidvania sub-genre still demands attention.
Learn about a distant relative while bringing a colourful reactor back online.
As the sum of its parts, FIFA 22 is the best FIFA in years…and plays a strong game of football on the PS5. The decision to go more sim-heavy is long overdue, with finally a befitting pace and defensive posture to the beautiful game. Online contests – even with exploits via microtransaction supercharged players – are much more balanced. There's so much to do both online and offline, it's an easy recommendation for both casual and committed football fanatics.
The Crysis Remastered Trilogy is not just for purists but is a series that can now be played perfectly on the PlayStation 5 for anyone. Unlike some of the more recent "remastered" games, The Crysis Remastered Trilogy is a true remastered experience that delivers an almost next-gen experience with some stunning graphical improvements.
In summary, I really wanted to like Book of Travels – it has a lovely atmosphere, a well-thought-out mythology and a genuinely original style. You certainly get the feel that the developers have a sincere love for the world they have created. Unfortunately, it all felt a little empty. My character did plenty of walking without stumbling across anything of real interest. Most frustratingly, it's hard to see how the character creation process alters a player's experience of the game in any meaningful way.
Back 4 Blood is not just a new coat of paint. It tries new ideas to shake up its legendary formula, mashing together their learning to create a cohesive, insanely fun co-op experience.
In short, while Lost Judgement isn't a perfect sequel, it still lives up to its predecessor as it offers new refreshing gameplay mechanics alongside an engaging story.
Lost in Random wears its visual influences on its sleeve and is more than worth a look for those who are fans of that kind of aesthetic alone. The story grabs you immediately and maintains a steady drip-feeding of excitement throughout its playtime and the game is just overall a refined and lovingly crafted adventure that will appeal to even those who are generally turned off by "card battle" games, as the content and gameplay here goes much deeper than that.
If you enjoyed the original Diablo or Diablo II when it first came out… this is a great way to play it on a modern system without having to jump into a DOS box or wrestle with other settings to get it to work. If you like the idea of a loot clicker then grab a copy because this is a great example of it.
A wonderfully unique experience housed in an average game, The Eternal Cylinder tells a strong tale but executes it in a pedestrian way. Play it for the story, not the gameplay.
While still a bit formulaic, Far Cry 6 stands as perhaps the best Far Cry experience to date and one beautifully presented and executed on the PS5. In doing so, it builds capably on previous Far Cry titles while adding an array of terrific new additions to the fold.
Overall, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Prince's Edition still provides an engaging story with endearing characters and simplistic, fun combat despite including a few bugs. Now that the game is available on Nintendo Switch with all DLCs included, I definitely believe it's worth a try for JRPG fans with a Switch.
SkateBIRD is ultimately, incredibly charming, but incredibly flawed. It's fun, when it doesn't punish you for its own shortcomings, and the that doesn't mean it's a faultless experience
Overall, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a highly entertaining game that's faithful to the franchise. It accurately depicts the nostalgic events of the series' earlier stories, and the gameplay engages the player while doing so.
Overall Nexomon on Switch is much better served in the sequel Nexomon:Extinction, than in this version. Whilst having its moments of fun and slightly addictive gameplay, it is still at its core a mobile game that's really best enjoyed in smaller 5-10 increments rather than a proper hour or two of normal playtime. It was disappointing to see that no effort was made to update the game from the mobile with the exception of the removal of micro transactions. At £9.99 it is not the most expensive game and would be good for those of you who want to scratch that monster catching itch before the new Pokemon games come out.
Even with an outstanding Hot Wheels license to work with, Hot Wheels Unleashed's generic and uninspired execution coupled with lower presentation qualities makes it a below average racing title.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a fun next-gen experience on the PlayStation 5 and the devs should be commended on implementing some new gaming tech with the franchise from 4K graphics to fast load times and my personal favourite, immersive haptics when you pull the trigger. Additionally the gameplay works well and all in, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a positive and engaging experience on the PlayStation 5.
