Son of Nor has some promise, delivers a passable game… but can be so much better. If you come into this knowing you're playing what can be considered an Indy title you won't be let down as much. There are some good things going on, and it may hold your interest a bit… if nothing else than for the interesting abilities that are bestowed on the playable character.
In the end, Stealth Inc 2 A Game of Clones is a fun yet extremely frustrating puzzle game with decent platforming mechanics thrown in. Sure, it will create a sense of controller rage but when you succeed, it's quite a satisfying and a joyful experience because at the end of the day, it's always your fault when you fail. It's definitely a game for those who have excellent patience and want something a little different than the mainstream Triple A titles… send in the clones!
It's great that developers Slightly Mad Studios have moved away from the more modern approach of racing games that include gaining experience points to unlock new aspects of the game. Rather, they give the player a more holistic and realistic race experience by throwing everything at you.
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is one of the best RPG's that I have ever played and after the previous game, I really didn't know what to expect because that game was so good. This game has got characters that you actually care about, a story that is very engaging from the get go and almost flawless gaming mechanics. The combat system works well, especially the varied enemies that you face as you attempt to locate your ward Ciri before The Wild Hunt finds her.
Ultimately you will get everything you expected from GTA 5 for PC; a tremendous game with many months of playability and the potential to only get better. If you own a kick-ass PC you should buy it. If not, take the $1500 you were going to spend on that poseur Mac, and buy yourself a kick-ass PC.
State Of Decay's incredible value almost makes up for its technical shortcomings.
Take a leap of faith and you won't be disappointed
Old tracks, new tracks, more characters, more vehicles. This new Mario Kart expansion has it all!
Mortal Kombat X takes this franchise to totally new levels of entertainment with amazing next-gen graphics and revamped gameplay that truly separates this current game from its predecessors. Add in a great story mode with depth plus some really fun online gameplay and Mortal Kombat X for me is one of the best fighters in a long time, especially with those brutal finishing moves which is also the reason this game deserves a much needed R18+ rating. Needless to say, Mortal Kombat X is bordering on perfection!
In conclusion Ride is good motorbike experience on the PlayStation 4 with some better than average gameplay, decent controls and some enjoyable racing. Graphically, it is a good looking game on the PS4 but some tracks do lack finesse but overall, the bikes handle well and Ride will definitely find a place amongst the hearts of virtual motorbike riders from around the world.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is a pure holistic RPG mobile experience on the 3DS
They are fun, entertaining and more importantly, there's a huge amount of replay value here to either play the game solo, with friends locally or online. The Borderlands The Handsome Collection is indeed a handsome collection for both PlayStation 4 and XBox One owners!
Life is Strange Episode 2 once again successfully ticks all the right boxes and creates a very interesting game driven by player choice and repercussions.
If you enjoyed Fruit Ninja on either the iOS or XBox 360 then it's probably worth checking out this title on the new XBox One. Given that it is a casual game, the replay value may become a little boring as you progress but Halfbrick Studios should be commended on making it quite a responsive and accurate game on the XBox One.
[D]on't expect Jaws of Hakkon to fundamentally change anything; it's more of the same. That's not a critique—Dragon Age: Inquisition is wonderful and this DLC only contributes more of the positives. At a relaxed pace with lots of exploration, there's a solid ten or so hours to be found in Jaws of Hakkon. With interesting plot threads to discover, beautiful locations to traverse, and powerful equipment to loot, there's plenty on offer in Jaws of Hakkon—it's a valuable addition to what was already a worthwhile experience.
Bloodborne is the system selling exclusive that the PS4 has been waiting for (Sorry, Infamous: Second Son; we're still cool though) and stands tall as the most accomplished game to come out of From Software's studios to date. If you dig Bloodborne then definitely go and check out From's other offerings… You won't be disappointed, even if the pace is somewhat slower (And, coincidentally, Dark Souls 2 is getting a current gen remaster sometime this month, so get on board!).
Still, let's not take anything away from what Obsidian has achieved all on their own. Pillars of Eternity is indeed great fun for RPG players young and old, and you don't need a $2000 beast to play it on either. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a deep and involving experience, and has the time to give it the respect it deserves.
Xenoblade Chronicles is a game that ticks all the right boxes
Toukiden Kiwami is a fun game on the PlayStation 4 with some great gameplay that really sets itself apart for what is available on the console at the moment with games like this. Sure it does have parallels to Monster Hunter but I feel that Toukiden Kiwami is a much more narrative focus game.
Even though the episode is quite short, it's quite a powerful release from Telltale Games as you attempt to make the right decisions which you hope will have the least resistance in the future for the Forresters but even the best laid plans of mice and men do go awry. With that said, there's some action scenes in this episode for Garred Tuttle that has a huge consequence for this ex-squire as this series goes into overdrive. All in all, another hit from Telltale Games, especially if you're a fan of HBO's Game of Thrones!
