A breathtaking adventure that takes a grim and depressing story with highly engaging combat to create a hidden gem well worth experiencing.
Monster Hunter: World finally arrives on PC with an excellent port that was well worth the extra development time.
Beast of Winter is a strong self-contained story that expands on some of the background lore of the series, but just feels all too short and limited.
The Yakuza series bursts onto PC in a promising, albeit imperfect debut.
Stoic's final game in The Banner Saga Trilogy is finally here, and for those that have followed these characters' stories for the first two games, The Banner Saga 3 will finally offer some closure.
Octopath Traveler is an excellent game, but the elasticity of its structure proves to be the one unassailable hurdle between it and becoming a classic in its own right.
If you are looking for a JRPG that encapsulates the summer vacation experience, this one may very well be for you.
An endearing vignette in the Life is Strange universe that shows what the series is like when it's at its best.

Nepenthe is basically a a fever dream you had as a kid. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you.
As it stands, I still believe this is a must for those that wish to have a bit more from the game, but those who do not already own Elder Scrolls Online would perhaps be more suited to wait for a sale or perhaps a friend or two to experience the game with.
A vibrant and visually stunning rogue-like that boasts an exhilarating combat system and an immensely enjoyable shopkeeping mechanic.
A little more approachable but still a fantastic dungeon crawling experience.
With three more episodes to come, it wasn't a surprise to discover that The Council: Episode 2 - Hide and Seek was more transitionary by design. It has its fair share of minor revelations to make, but, continuing to be hampered by the same technical issues, it's important the next episode needs to up the ante and correct some missteps before my interest in the whole spectacle falls apart.
With its bland story and uninteresting characters, this is a series that is in a dire need of a substantive reboot.
