Critic Reviews for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Seeker, Slayer, Survivor
Seeker, Slayer, Survivor plays like filler DLC. It's below average and lukewarm at best, with very little of what makes an Obsidian RPG in the mix.
Mechanically, the DLC is as polished as any Obsidian's work. However, personally I have come to expect a different product from the company, especially when it is set in the story-rich universe of Eora. Seeker, Slayer, Survivor is not only focused on combat, it is almost purely combat with very little else. If you are not a hardcore player who seeks to push the Watcher's party to the limits and are more interested in the story than battles, this particular DLC might leave you with mixed feelings.
Pillar of Eternity II: Deadfire - Seeker, Slayer, Survivor is a DLC that feels as if it doesn't understand the strengths of the main game. Focusing mainly in okay-ish battles, and throwing role-playing out of the window, it's a hard title to recommend.
Even with the "Slayer" path being the best one, "Seeker, Slayer, Survivor" sets out what it meant to do: bring deeper tactics into Pillars of Eternity II. Another great DLC for what might be one of the best RPGs in 2018.

Seeker, Slayer, Survivor brings challenging fights to the Deadfire Archipelago.
I'm glad I played Seeker, Slayer, Survivor. This is an adequate DLC for an already phenomenal game.
