Summary : Tearaway Unfolded does nearly everything right, leading to one of the most surprisingly fun games available on the market right now.
Summary : Postal Redux is a brief, but decently fun twin stick shooter with some fitting ambience. It will help kill small amounts of time, but the short campaign will be over well before you know it and longer enjoyment of the game will depend on you getting into the Rampage score attack mode.
Summary : Battleborn is a solid title that deserves to be kept an eye on. It's a fast and action packed shooter with a humourous vibe in it. It has some flaws that prevent it from reaching even higher peaks but nothing that few content patches can't fix.
Stellaris builds a foundation that will hopefully yield something wonderful within the next few years of patches and expansions. For now, this is a good game that I recommend for both the newcomer and the hardened veteran that probably already has this game.
Omnibus is an enjoyable game with a fun premise, but the novel concept is brought down by wonky physics.
Overwatch's core gameplay is fantastic, but it's a one trick pony that fails to hold your attention for more than a few matches at a time.
Summary : Senran Kagura: Estival Versus continues the series forward momentum of compelling character-driven narrative and addictive and accessible combat in the best-looking entry to date. The light-hearted tone pairs well with the brawler gameplay x musou meets visual novel. Don't buy into the hate and give this one a shot.
Some of the game modes are a dud and the single player is basically empty, but Typefighters can provide a fun multiplayer experience if you stick to the right game modes.
Homefront: The Revolution could have been something better with its weapon customization and unique environments, but it fails on the technical front.
Not even tacked-on multiplayer or a weak level editor can stop DOOM from being a total blast from start to finish.
An incredibly challenging experience tempered by engaging gameplay and a beautiful, hand-drawn world.
Shadow of the Beast does quite a few things right and I can appreciate its different battle system and lovely world. Its also still annoyingly frustrating sometimes and currently overpriced.
Part historical documentary, part video game, 1979 Revolution: Black Friday is a solid foundation for a tension-filled story grounded in the reality of a confusing time.
The Banner Saga 2 is a worthy sequel and succeeds in propelling the series to new heights.
I don't hate Kromaia Ω, but it's difficult to recommend this confusing game. Everything works, but it's hard to tell anything apart from anything else.
The Descendants' first episode has some issues, but they can mostly be ignored by fans of the adventure-lite genre that Telltale established.
Star Fox Guard is a poor attempt at making a tower defense game with a Star Fox skin. The progression is poor, levels aren't exciting and it's all around just a boring game.
Once Upon a Climb brings back the charm that episode 2 of King's Quest lacked. It's a great new addition to the reboot of this classic franchise. It's fun, it's beautiful and I highly recommend it.
While Alienation does everything it tries to do well, it fails to be as deep and rewarding an experience as it tries to present itself as.
Star Fox Zero is a great return to the Star Fox formula. But at the same time, it's way too similar to Star Fox 64. While it is fundamentally a reboot, it does bring a lot of new things to the table...just not enough. It's a good framework for a sequel.
