Gundam Breaker 4 isn't the deepest game when it comes to the narrative or continued gameplay, but the sheer amount of collectibles and customization is a fine achievement.
Visions of Mana features an impactful story, well-written characters, fun combat, and a gorgeous world to get lost in with very few problems.
Star Wars Outlaws is an ambitious first step into bringing the franchise to an open world. Its engaging story and characters open the door for more adventurers to come.
Tactical Breach Wizards delivers a fresh and addicting tactical experience. Using an array of awesome spells, there are limitless ways to complete the mission, making for a very inventive experience.
Black Myth: Wukong is an absolute delight. Its gorgeous world, incredible enemy variety, and satisfying combat all come together to create an experience worthy of the Great Sage himself.
Castaway doesn't reinvent the wheel, nor does it intend to. What Canari Games set out to do is to create a rock solid, short-but-sweet experience, and this endearing adventure game achieves just that.
Creatures of Ava is a wonderful adventure that wraps together an interesting story about humankind's view of nature, exploration of a beautiful alien world, and interesting creature taming mechanics. While I'd wish to continue exploring this game a major detriment is how you get locked out of half the game as you play through it.
Fields of Mistria is the perfect example of what an outstanding cozy farming sim can do.
Despite SteamWorld Heist II's shortcomings, it's a fun and polished game. It does, however, suffer from repetition and lack of depth, so it feels like you've seen it all it has to offer after a few hours.
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter isn't a good game, nor is it necessarily bad, but its age shows as you play through its campaign. Not only that, but the port quality and terrible camera controls leave a lot to be desired.
The Star Named EOS is a quick, charming puzzle game, but it doesn't stand out in the genre.
A flowery, gorgeous world that is enthralling to listen to, but abrasive to interact with, to the point where its structure can confuse players with its intent.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is light on overt storytelling, but packed with satisfying, entertaining action strategy gameplay. It's worth a look.
The new version of Riven is a beautiful addition to the Myst series with addition to detail in its fully rendered environments, and plenty of exploration to be had despite some obscure puzzles.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is the lore and gameplay continuation that we all needed. The new challenges and a feeling of nostalgia help propel this DLC into the stratosphere.
Splodey does a good job of creating a unique twist on the Precision Platformer genre and, while I do think smaller individual challenges would be better, those who are into the genre will likely enjoy.
An asymmetrical horror experience that's varied, albeit slightly awkward to maneuver around, and different enough mechanically to stand out from the multiplayer crowd, asymmetrical or otherwise.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II features intense audio, beautiful graphics, and wonderful camera work, creating a powerful presentation that’s worth experiencing. However, the narrative doesn’t quite stick the landing.
It's commendable work by Nightdive to port this obscure title, but it's no wonder they announced its existence on April Fool's Day. Po'ed: Definitive Edition is a confusing mess of a game to play, but it does leave a lasting impression.
A beautiful picture book with an intriguing mechanic that devolves into flavourless surface-level commentary of consent, character, and childlike curiosities. (Review Policy)
