A huge open world, filled to the brim with life, death and everything in between. It truly is a sight to behold. CD Projekt Red have done great things with this title and RPGs all-round should take note.
With its rich story, compelling characters, and wealth of different ways to approach any situation, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a title that plants its flag in the tactical RPG genre and stands heads and tails above its competitors. Requiring plenty of patience to learn the game mechanics and to absorb the immense amount of story thrown at the player; this title may not be for everyone but if you're willing to invest the time this title is one that will be played over and over for years to come.
Smite adds a welcome twist to the MOBA formula and, with constant updates and tweaks made with the help of the community, doesn't look like it will be fizzling out anytime soon! If you've ever wanted to know what it would be like to throw Thor's hammer into Poseidon's face, look no further than Smite: Battleground of the Gods.
Great subject, humour and gameplay meet charming music and graphics to make magic. It may be a little too easy for hardcore tactical buffs, but for me this game is perfect.
The Novelist is the most personal and beautiful game I have ever experienced. The creator, Kent Hudson, has quite plainly poured his heart and soul into this game, and the outcome is genuinely something to behold. Never before have I felt so emotionally involved in the characters, their situation and potential future, as in this truly player-driven story.
Where it takes mechanics from others in the industry, it improves upon them; where it introduces new ones, you slap your forehead in amazement that it hasn't been done before. Breath of the Wild is development done right, and damn near the best game you'll play all year.
Boasting a varied lineup of unique fighters, beautiful retro art, interesting stages, and an impressive amount of content, Rivals of Aether hits every mark hit sets out to hit. This is must-have for any brawler fans with deep, engaging combat that's easy to learn and hard as nails to master.
Despite being a fan of the XCOM series as a whole I never expected this new entry to be as polished, intricate, immersive, beautiful and exciting as it is. XCOM 2 is not only one of the greatest strategy games of all time, it's also one of the greatest videogames of all time.
A great addition to the Deus Ex mythos, and more than just a better looking Human Revolution. If you're a fan of the series, or even just the last one, then you can't go wrong with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
It's a slow paced game that can be difficult to watch at times but if you want a strong story and all the feels, then this is the one to turn to. It pushes the boundaries of games as art and it's genuinely the most emotional game I've ever played and I can't recommend it enough. Keep Kleenex nearby.
While it does seem to focus on being grind-heavy with many modes and mutators needing to be unlocked with coins, you can enjoy yourself fully even with the bare bones, because the game is always shaking things up, and continually testing the boundaries of friendships and your sanity.
Zelda fans will continue to be spoilt by a spectacular ride through Link’s first 3D adventure. With a top-notch soundtrack, lovely visuals and addictive gameplay, you can’t ask for much more.
Death Road to Canada is a joyful return to the simpler things in gaming. While it may not have the power of a AAA developer behind it, it certainly does have what AAA developers lack nowadays, a sense of fun.
A perfect puzzle and adventure game
Owlboy is a solid title that's filled with a vast, beautiful world and characters you'll come to love. Make no mistake, this game is worth your time.
Nier: Automata is an absolute masterclass in game design. It surpasses expectations time and time again resulting in an experience not to be missed by fans of action titles.
This is one of my favourite content packs for Cities: Skylines just because of the new challenge it offers. It’s also really cool to completely blow your city to bits.

A must play First Person Exploration game I cannot recommend highly enough. Go into it with an open mind and as little prior knowledge as you can.
This DLC continues to deserve the high praise I gave the main game, with a good script, fun characters and interesting missions. I had a lot of fun with it, even though some of the objectives can be difficult.
