Rascal Revolt is a fun and colorful game on PS4. The one complaint I'd have about the game is that the camera could use some extra work since I felt it moved around a bit too fast, but other than that, this is a game that is easy to recommend on Sony's console.
If you like first-person experiences (a.k.a. walking simulators), and don't mind experiencing the particular topics that Anamorphine deals with, then you should check this one out on PlayStation 4. It features a story that will certain touch you, especially if you've dealt with something similar to what the main protagonist goes through. The one complaint I'd have is that the loading times between chapters are a bit on the long side, and that the game loads for a few seconds at weird spots, but this is probably something that the team is working on to improve by way of a patch.
Narcosis is a solid first effort from indie Honor Code. As a first-person survival game, it provides a nice experience with its gloomy setting where one false step can send you plummeting down to your death. If you're not careful, you might run out of oxygen, which I'm sure is a painful way to go. And then there are the giant and deadly crabs that can puncture your suit with a single stab. There's danger around every corner, and Honor Code has done a great job at portraying that on PS4.
All in all, Aces of the Luftwaffe – Squadron is a fun endeavour if a little simplistic at times. It is definitely recommended if you're a fan of shoot 'em up games and are looking at something a bit different.
I can't recommend Awkward. It's not fun to play by yourself, or with others, and the humor, other than a few hits, is also disappointing. If you want an awkward type of game to play, then find something else.
Flipping Death is not only one of the best indie games on the Nintendo Switch, it's one of the best games on Nintendo's hybrid console, period. If you're a fan of Zoink Games then this is a no-brainer, but if you have yet to try some of their great releases, then you can't go wrong with making Flipping Death your first purchase from Zoink Games.
Animal Super Squad is a welcomed addition to the Nintendo Switch library and a game that is just as fun to play at home or on the go. The many levels the team at DoubleMoose Games has created will keep you busy for a while, and you can then dive into creating your own stages or playing those already created by players around the world to keep the fun going for many extra hours. If you're looking for a colorful and charming physics-based platformer on Nintendo's hybrid console, then be sure to give this one a go!
Cast of the Seven Godsends is a fun 2D action platformer on Nintendo Switch that you should check out if you're a fan of games such as Ghosts ‘n' Goblins. With its solid enemy and boss design, tight gameplay mechanics and varied stage types, this is one 2D game I recommend you check out for Nintendo's hybrid console.
I Hate Running Backwards is a fun action-packed release on PlayStation 4 with several cameo characters that is a blast to play. Running backwards as you try to stay alive and in one piece feels great, and the challenging enemies and bosses will keep you coming back for more. And don't feel bad if you end up playing in Baby Mode since it's there for a reason.
The Mooseman feels like a set of cave paintings that have come to life
Perils of Baking is a fun 2D platformer on PS4 with more than enough content to justify its asking price. The graphics are a bit on the raw side, but the gameplay is fun and that more than makes up for things. If you're looking for a new 2D platformer on PS4, then be sure to check this one out!
I really liked The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker. I love adventure games and this FMV murder mystery had something new to offer on PlayStation 4. The actors did a great job in portraying the crazy patients you interview during each run, and the way the murder is randomized for each run will keep you guessing who killed Doctor Dekker, so every new run you do will feel very different.
Another Lost Phone: Laura's Story, as was the case for A Normal Lost Phone, will be over in a couple of hours at most, so this one will appeal to, say, fans of visual novels, as well as to, obviously, those of you that played and enjoyed the previous game on Nintendo Switch from Accidental Queens, Plug In Digital and Seaven Studio. It is available on its own for $5.99 on the Nintendo eshop, or you can a bundle with both games, as Lost Phones Stories, for only $9.99.
Mad Carnage is a fun and challenging turn-based strategy game with a different way of doing things.
I had fun playing Fallen Legion: Rise to Glory for this review since the game looks great, and the gameplay mechanics are a blast to use. It reminded me a bit of games such as Valkyrie Profile, which is definitely a good thing. By buying the game you will get two full story campaigns to play through either at home or on the go, and this Nintendo Switch version of the game also includes five extra hidden characters to unlock, bonus story paths, additional content and even some more boss fights. Oh, and once you beat a campaign you can dive right back in with New Game+ which features remixed battles for a fresh experience!
Runbow is a very fun and colorful game that you should definitely check out on Nintendo Switch. There's a ton of content to enjoy in this one, with a balanced challenge that will have you always trying to get even better at the game. The frantically hectic multiplayer action is where the game shines the most, but you'll also get a kick out of playing on your own as you try to beat all the Adventure stages while getting three medals, or by taking on the Bowhemoth as you try to lower your overall time and death count total.
Miles and Kilo is a cute and charming platformer that is available right now on the Nintendo switch and if you are a big platformer fan, then look no further than Miles and Kilo, you have the option of playing in standard mode taking full control of Miles or you can chose auto run in the settings menu and concentrate on the platforming if you have good reflexes because you will need it. Auto Run is far more challenging. Good luck and enjoy.
If you're a fan of Otome visual novels, then you're going to have a lot of fun playing 7'scarlet on PlayStation Vita. The great art style and varied locations, solid storyline and likable characters make this one an easy game to recommend for you to play on the go.
Word Search by POWGI on Nintendo Switch is a fun puzzle gme that will keep you entertained by a long time. You can definitely take on a word search marathon session if you're a fan of the genre, and you can just as easily play for a few minutes at a time thanks to the console's sleep mode. You can play the game with the console docked or in Handheld and Tabletop modes in which you can use the touchscreen as well to control the game. Playing docked is definitely advised for frantic 4 player sessions since having the bigger screen is a plus, but you can definitely play it on the Switch's HD screen just fine.
Hyper Sentinel is a fun arcade release on PlayStation 4 that offers more than enough content for its asking price. With Arcade, Survival and Boss modes, as well as the many trophies tied to them, there is plenty to do with this homage to the good old days of the C64. Go check it out!
