Future Unfolding is a very relaxing release. The lush environments, slow but steady pace and the overall feel of this release make for an almost Zen experience on PlayStation 4. Granted, this game is not for everyone, but if the game's trailer, screens, and overall premise haven't made you completely dismiss the game you might be someone who could greatly enjoy it.

8 / 10 - Rise & Shine
Jun 20, 2017

Rise and Shine is a tough but fun action game in which everything and anything can kill you in a couple of seconds. You need to make the most of the available cover so that you can destroy all enemies before they overwhelm you, making sure that every shot counts. There are several areas in the game where you'll be attacked from all sides of the screen, with slow moving bullets, bullets that split into smaller ones, acid that covers the floor and does considerable damage, and even bombs and mines that can one-hit you. It sounds overwhelming, but if you stick with the game, you'll see this is a charming and fun PS4 release.

8 / 10 - RiME
Jun 15, 2017

I liked playing through RiMe, and highly recommend this game to players looking for a single player campaign full of puzzles and mysteries! The world is gorgeous, and the soundtrack is great at conveying that “on an island with no idea of what is going on” feeling. The art direction is stellar as you'll like discover while you travel in this world. I thought that the game was a little short for a $30 release, but your mileage might vary… but even so I still recommend it!

9 / 10 - DiRT 4
Jun 14, 2017

There are so many modes, races, and details hidden in this game that it will keep you busy for a long time. Once you start to master the modes, or if for some reason you find things are too easy, you can tune the difficulty and increase the challenge for the game. There is a lot to love in the game, and I couldn't put it down after playing for hours. It was always “just one more race”, until it was two in the morning. I'm forcing myself to put it down! If you like racing games, then you have to play DiRT 4!

All in all, I have had a blast playing Grim Legends: The Foresaken Bride. Once I completed the main game, I unlocked an extra story which was certainly a pleasant surprise! There's plenty to do in this game and lots of puzzles to solve, not to mention that being able to play the dominoes game instead of the hidden objects puzzles will make it so that anyone can enjoy the game's story and setting. I'm sure being able to skip puzzles is also a big plus for some of you, but you'll have to remember you'll lock yourself out of the Platinum trophy and will need to do a second run if you want it.

We certainly liked a lot of the changes made to this new PS4 entry in the series. Right from the start, it feels more open and accessible for everyone especially for those new to the franchise. The mobile Atelier is a very nice feature, and it makes tasks seem less like fetch quests. We also had more fun with the game's battle system as it feels more refined. Playing it on the big screen on PS4 or on the go on the PS Vita felt great, so you'll be able to play either at home or on the go thanks to the game's cross-save features

Eventide: Slavic Fable offers a solid story with pretty hand- drawn graphics and a decent variety of puzzles. I really can't complain since you also get a second campaign that is unlocked at the end of the main game, so there is a good amount of content for this PlayStation 4 release.

Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is a fantastic dungeon crawler with a lot to offer. It has a ton of content at a great price, and it's fun from start to finish. My only complaint is that the text in the menus is a bit on the small side. Other than that, the game plays flawlessly and is very well polished, with first class voice acting. You're going to spend dozens of hours playing this one and its two expansions if you want to get all trophies. Are you up for the challenge?

Dark Rose Valkyrie has a lot to offer with a good story and plenty of customization for your party members. There's a ton of missions to do for the main story, not to mention a considerable amount of side missions. The game is a lot of fun to play and a rewarding experience. I have enjoyed the game very much, and my only gripe is that you can only save on the map. But other than that, this is a highly recommended JRPG on PS4.

Black and White Bushido was a fun game, but one that you'll either really like or only find amusing for a short gaming session. The multiplayer component is key, so the more you're into multiplayer gaming the more enjoyment you'll get from the game. We're sure the easy Platinum is also very enticing for fellow trophy hunters. So if you're looking for a multiplayer game where you can fight in short and fast-paced battles, Black and White Bushido migh be what you want.

Demon's Crystals can be played in short bursts or for longer sessions as it has a lot of replayability. There's a trophy for getting all characters up to level 60, so if you're aiming at getting all trophies, you'll be playing the game for a while. The game is an all round enjoyable release both in singleplayer and co-op, and a steal at only $4.99.

8 / 10 - SmuggleCraft
May 31, 2017

The game is a ton of fun especially if you are a fan of racers. The controls are great and are highly responsive, but you will need to practice for a bit before you get the hang of things due to the highspeed at which you travel. Some of you might get some motion sickness if you're not careful, so be sure to ease yourself into the experience. Smugglecraft has a nice story that is fun and goes well with the game's graphics and gameplay mechanics, making this a solid indie release. The game even features a full trophy list with a Platinum at the end, so I'm sure it will keep you busy for a while!

Embers of Mirrim is a fun puzzle platformer on PlayStation 4 with plenty to do and some clever puzzles to keep you busy until the end. It has a good trophy list and solid graphics and an excellent soundtrack, all for less than $20. You should definitely add this one to your collection!

Vertical Drop Heroes HD is a fun roguelike experience on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. Replaying levels as you learn new abilities and purchase upgrades for all of heroes is highly addictive and will easily keep you playing for hours. The one complaint I have about the game is that the font is extremely tiny. If you're not sitting a few feet from your TV you won't be able to read what the game is trying to tell you. But overall, that's the one complain I can make about the game. But other than that I definitely recommend you get this one from

Siegecraft Commander on PlayStation 4 is a fun release with a good mix of strategy/tower defense. You'll quickly learn the basics during the first handful of levels, and after that, it's a fun ride as you try to unlock the game's Platinum trophy. Slow and steady wins the race, so take your time to learn each map as you work towards grabbing the miscellaneous trophies in this short list. As a tip, I'd suggest trophy hunters focus on the multiplayer for their trophy needs since all trophies can technically be unlocked in offline multiplayer.

Skylar and Plux: Adventure on Clover Island is a fun release. The only complain I have is that there was some minor lag when you respawn, but that's probably something that the team can take care of with a patch. The game's controls are solid, the graphics are colorful and look great on PS4 and the music is pretty awesome. Unfortunately, the game has no Platinum trophy, but at least it's a fun and easy to accomplish 100%, with a mix of objetives for collectibles and for story progression. In the end, is the game worth your time and money? Definitely, especially if you're a fan of the beloved 3D action platformer.
