Concord is excellent on the shooter side but less so on the hero side: the potential is there, but the execution so far could be better. The problems remain more impressive than the bland characters, and this is not a good sign.

After the remake of the first two episodes of Famicom Detective Club I was really hoping for a return of the franchise, and Emio - The Smiling Man does not disappoint thanks to first-class art direction, an interesting plot and its retro soul.

A commendable comeback for the series, capable of offering a beautiful, bittersweet story and captivating gameplay in its liveliness.

A finely re-made classic that is still as engaging and fun as it was back in 2002.

Dustborn has great unrealised potential, and that's a shame. The alternate world it sketches out is fascinating, and the cast of characters, with their diversity, adds great value to an otherwise poor experience that fails to shine in any other respect.

Creatures of Ava offers a visually and conceptually ambitious alien adventure, shining for its non-violent approach and fascinating world. Despite some imperfections, the game manages to create a quite original experience for lovers of exploratory and ecologically conscious adventures.

An adorable little strategy game that's deeper than it appears and has a wonderful soundtrack by Steam Powered Giraffe. Absolutely a gem.

Thank Goodness You're Here! is a short but overwhelming experience. If you like English humor it will hardly leave you unsatisfied. Although it lacks a real challenge, the unique combination of the extreme imagination of the developers (who indulge in often unexpected, always ingenious changes of scene and tone) and the effectiveness of the gags, well conveyed by the voice actors and excellently underlined by the graphic style and soundtrack, make it a game difficult to miss for fans of graphic adventures.

One of the most exilarating games you can try, if you can get over the dated graphics.

If already in the preview the feelings in front of Cygni: All Guns Blazing had been positive, the long-distance review confirms how well the small KeelWorks team did with this spectacular and intense mix of shoot'em-up, bullet-hell and twin-stick-shooter.

An excellent dystopian thriller, with attention to every aspect and the audiovisual sector as valid as its engaging narrative.

Ubisoft dusts off its 2003 cult game for the second time with a successful Anniversary Edition. The game has never been a masterpiece, but it still entertains today as it did 21 years ago.

EA Sports College Football 25 is simply one of the finest interpretations of American football since NFL 2K5. Dynasty mode is great, Road to Glory has untapped potential while CUT has all the pros and cons of EA's Ultimate Teams. It's been years since I've played such a beautiful, engaging and well-curated simulation.

A metroidvania with its fair share of inspiration, albeit too tied to the need to remain in mid-air most of the time.

Nobody Wants to Die is an enticing detective story that takes a weird path in the final stretch.

A very uncertain start fortunately does not prevent the game from finally unleashing its full potential.

If you loved NES Remix, you will also appreciate Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, which, in addition to several new challenges, offers a small essay on game design. Otherwise, the package is a bit pricey (€29.99, to which you have to add the cost of a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to enjoy all the features), and not all "remixed games" have aged well in the same way.

A game that lacks sense of direction, with an exposition as bland as its gameplay. On paper, some things could have been interesting but when you actual play the game they feel disconnected.

Difficult, adrenaline-fuelled and stupid as hell, Anger Foot does not disappoint and, after the 2022 demo, kicking dumb enemies like there's no tomorrow also works in the long run.

An adventure full of strategy, designed for both veterans and newcomers, and distinguished by its beautiful artistic direction. It's hard not to grown attached to Soh and Yoshiro during their pilgrimage.
