We've really appreciated the return of Goscinny & Uderzo's creature in videogame with this Asterix & Obelix Slap Them All. Choosing an arcade beat'em up was a fitting idea, and the decision to merge it with an exquisite hand-drawn graphic was the best way to start a new beginning for Asterix in modern gaming. However, the game reuses too much assets throughout the adventure and it's victim of its own repetitiveness, which prevents him to reach higher scores. Perhaps the masterpiece is not on sight, but the Gauls have taken the right road to reach it.
