PSX Brasil's Reviews

Apr 15, 2018

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is an interaction over the original title and should please its fans. The sequel fixes a lot of the original's shortcomings, however it has its own flaws and doesn't reach the same tragic developments as the previous title even with a more interesting cast. NIS managed to create an action RPG that stands out from the crowd even if it's because of its shortcomings or because of its interesting and absolutely horrifying story.

70 / 100 - Audio Beats
Apr 15, 2018

Audio Beats brings rhythm games to Virtual Reality platforms, presenting great mechanics that explore well the virtual space. However, offering only five tracks to play is disappointing, and for that, Audio Beats is more of a proof of concept than a full game. If future updates including more content were to be offered by the developers, Audio Beats will become a great addition to the PlayStation VR library.

Super Daryl Deluxe is such a fun and good game that when I finished it, all that I could wish for is that it could be turned into a TV show so I'd be able to keep immersed in its universe. With an irreverent humor, allied to a huge amount of easter eggs from historical facts, movies, books, and other games, the title is a highlight and is a great source of fun for the lovers of the pop and geek culture.

98 / 100 - God of War
Apr 12, 2018

The God of War series needed to be reinvented and the Santa Monica Studio team did it masterfully. The change of perspective, the fantastic graphics, the new chapter of the story and especially the addictive combat show that God of War is easily one of the best PS4 games.

50 / 100 - Extinction
Apr 10, 2018

Despite the good inspirations that Extinction appears to have, everything is misused and have no originality when executed. The gameplay is flawed at crucial moments and the story does not develop enough to become interesting. It is sad to see that a game with potential gets lost in basic mistakes and that it is not worth the price that is charged at its launch.

85 / 100 - Owlboy
Apr 9, 2018

The core of Owlboy's adventure is solving puzzles, interspersed with boss fights and occasional breaks to watch the story progression. It is a very competent game as long as the player does not mind a closed and ephemeral experience. It is, above all, a visual delight, made with a formidable pixel art that distinguishes it from the others in the industry.

Batman The Enemy Within is one of Telltale's best seasons by constantly surprising its interpretation of the Dark Knight's world. John Doe's journey into madness turns him into a multifaceted and fascinating character to accompany. Despite not innovating in its mechanics nor in the form of narrative and player choices, Telltale delivers a season that involves the player until the end.

The third and last installment of The Pillars of the Earth invests heavily in its narrative, bringing a cohesive closure to the story, filled with struggle, surprise and emotion. On the other hand, this also results in little interactivity for the player, limited to making dialogue decisions and a few opportunities for exploration. As a whole, the game is a positive recommendation due to the beauty in its art and good story, a bold adaptation to the epic saga created by Ken Follet, changing events and even the destiny of some characters when compared to the original work.

Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms is the second half of one of the most known stories of the genre. Despite being a quality title, it is a tough recommendation in a time of more interesting releases.

70 / 100 - Rad Rodgers
Apr 3, 2018

Rad Rodgers is a simple platform and action game that aims to please those who miss the 90s. It has simple mechanics and non-linear stages. The biggest problems is the layout of the stages, that can confuse the player at certain points. In addition, the enemies and weapons are repetitive.

68 / 100 - Island Time VR
Apr 3, 2018

Island Time VR is a survival game with easy gameplay mechanics and quick matches, which can easily become chaotic if the player is not careful. Even though it is an entertaining experience, the game offers a limited amount of activities that can be done, becoming a title to be played occasionally for a short period of time or in the company of a group of friends.

Tesla vs Lovecraft is named after two celebrities from human history, something quite unusual and, despite the cliched story of a conflict involving vengeance and the end of the world, it is worth playing. It's not 10tons best title when evaluating by the variety of weapons, but it will provide tons of fun. Undoubtedly it's their most frenetic title so far, and that makes it a great title for those who enjoy the genre.

81 / 100 - A Way Out
Mar 24, 2018

If we remove from the game all armed combat and the conclusion of the story that seems to have been created only to raise the dramatic charge at its end, A Way Out is an excellent escape and cooperation game, made to those who love a friendly gameplay session.

73 / 100 - Octahedron

With accelerated pace and plenty of challenge, Octahedron tries to innovate among several other platform games and gets some merit, even with problems in gameplay, inaccurate commands and a not so much creative visual.

The 25th Ward may not reach the high points of its predecessor, however, it is a visual novel with intriguing mysteries to those that take an interest in the stories. The 25th Ward hides a ton of secrets, but the most important and memorable aspect of it is how each player will face and interpret these mysteries.

Burnout Paradise was one of the best racing games in the last generation and seemed like a title beyond its time. The remastered version still offers a game that has aged very well after 10 years and it has all the DLCs included. The only problem is that it's the same game with no new features, except graphics with better resolution. It is worth replaying it for nostalgia. If you have never played it, the time is now.
