In its careful historical preservation and attention to detail, Toy Story: Retro Roundup! is flawless. However, this unwavering fidelity to the past carries the weight of decades: without adjustments to soften the impact of the years and relying only on a few external tricks to overcome its limitations, both outdated mechanics and visuals may frustrate those seeking even a minimal contemporary experience. This will certainly test the player's patience.

Toy Story 3: Complete Edition is a pleasant surprise that recaptures the golden age of movie-based games. Although the Story Mode is short and suffers from some unevenness in level pacing and control precision, the title truly shines in the rich Toy Box Mode, offering sandbox-style freedom packed with activities and customization options. Ultimately, the Complete Edition establishes itself as the definitive version of an absolute classic-an excellent recommendation for children and a nostalgic journey for longtime fans.

After an 18-year hiatus for the vampire-hunting series' traditional style, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse both slakes the thirst of long-time fans and offers an entry point for a new audience. It is an adventure that plays it safe—taking a somewhat understated approach to the Metroidvania elements and facing some limitations—yet its strengths ultimately shine through, making it well worth playing. Here's hoping Rose Belmont's journey breathes new life into the franchise's future—and that the current low-resolution textures get adjusted for 4K screens.

Just Dance: Decades of Hits retains the franchise's signature fun and introduces an interesting new feature in Adventure Mode that gives more purpose to progression. However, the relatively small song list, unmemorable choreography, and the absence of some major artists make this a less exciting edition than it could have been. It is fun, but falls short of being essential for anyone who already owns a recent Just Dance title.

Kingdom Hearts Collection [I ~ III] is the definitive collection of the saga that unites Disney and Final Fantasy. Although some of the included packs don't benefit as much from the improvements, the highlight is Kingdom Hearts III, which features much more dynamic gameplay thanks to 60fps. However, while it manages to attract new fans, factors such as the high price and lack of localization continue to weigh on it as negative points. Still, the journey of Sora, Donald, Goofy, and their friends remains fun, exciting, and magical.

Forever Ago is a narrative experience that succeeds in how it handles its plot and prompts reflection on grief and the pain of loss. The gameplay could have explored the camera mechanics more, but the locations, memories, and people encountered along the journey offer moments of reflection and create a captivating experience.

Hellraiser: Revival is a faithful adaptation of the universe created by Clive Barker, combining an oppressive atmosphere, grotesque visuals, and genuinely tense moments with a structure heavily inspired by games of the genre, most notably Resident Evil 4 Remake. Although the puzzles are simple and the difficulty decreases considerably as the player masters its mechanics and abilities, the campaign manages to hold its own thanks to the excellent setting, intense chases, and creative use of the Lament Configuration. It's not revolutionary, but it's an interesting and authentic survival horror game for fans of the genre and, especially, of Hellraiser.

To create Order of the Sinking Star, Thekla licensed four different Sokoban-style games from other developers and wove them into four campaigns forming a colossal, highly ingenious whole. Yet, this unprecedented scale becomes a weak point for both the narrative and the puzzle gameplay experience, as it can feel intimidating, confusing, and overly sprawling. Even so, the game appeals to two distinct audiences: those who want to dedicate hundreds of hours to unraveling every last detail, and those who simply wish to enjoy the puzzles for as long as they feel inclined—without minding that they might only experience a fraction of the game's vast content (which can still mean dozens of hours of gameplay).

Dark Arisen is a solid expansion that expands Dragon's Dogma 2 with new challenges, plenty of exploration, and systems that make progression more interesting. Despite the lack of new vocations and some uninspired side quest choices, the expansion fulfills its purpose and reinforces the feeling that the franchise still has a lot of potential.

Even with some aesthetic and monetization excesses, as well as certain gameplay aspects that require a bit more refinement, NBA 2K27 takes another step in the right direction to offer the most authentic basketball experience of the current generation. The game offers sophisticated mechanics, respect for the sport's legacy, and attention to virtually every aspect off the court.

Silver Pines is an immersive 2D survival horror game that skillfully blends Lynchian suspense, psychological terror, and the classic resource management of renowned PlayStation-era survival horror titles. Its contrasting visuals, excellent voice work, and highly interconnected level design are its greatest strengths. On the other hand, the limited variety of enemies and the simplicity of the combat could be better. Even so, it is an easy recommendation for fans of the genre and of David Lynch's universe.

As part of the process of consolidating the franchise's new phase under the leadership of iRacing Studios, NASCAR 26 reaffirms the principles introduced in the previous installment and implements subtle yet important refinements, particularly in the simulation mechanics and in the team and career management aspects. While not innovative, it still has room for improvement, such as the pace of progression and an audiovisual aspect that falls short of its major competitors in the genre.

Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition offers a well-rounded package of a great 2025 game. In addition to the excellent updated base game and free multiplayer, there are the new Most Wanted and Echoes of Sekigahara content packs. Most Wanted is just a pastime, aimed at those who have already completed everything in the game and still want to play. Echoes of Sekigahara expands the narrative for a few hours, bringing more details of Atsu's past life. In the end, both DLCs are "more Ghost of Yotei".

Following patterns established by its predecessor, TOEM 2 offers players an unique experience as they explore and photograph the world around them. And it is a very charming world, thanks to the minimalist and monochromatic aesthetic of its environments.

In terms of both visuals and themes, Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth is truly heartwarming. Its gameplay-exploring the frozen valley and helping those in need-unfolds at the pace of stories filled with melancholy, sweetness, and friendship; stories that, despite their children's-book seemingness, are handled with maturity. It is a game recommended for those who appreciate human sensitivity in simple things, for children, for those already familiar with Tove Jansson's work, and even for those experiencing Moomin for the first time.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is a bold evolution of the foundation laid in AC7. Its story is more exciting, its presentation is more polished, and most importantly, its gameplay is impeccable, with a variety of missions and combat situations that keep the player engaged, entertained, and wanting more. This is one of the best games not only of the year, but of the generation.

Those who only saw the initial announcement of Dune: Awakening for PC and dismissed the idea due to a lack of interest in the MMO format have good reason to reconsider. While the shared open-world survival aspect remains, the narrative, mechanical, and progression improvements offer new ways to enjoy the charms - and eventually succumb to the dangers - of Arrakis, regardless of whether you're a fan of the franchise's books and movies.

After two major successes in the franchise, Silent Hill: Townfall commits to a solid horror atmosphere, impeccable sound design, and a richly detailed city, but delivers a shallow story and uncompelling characters, leaving the impression of a competent yet forgettable horror game that lacks identity next to the series' recent highs.

Crimson Moon is limited in virtually everything, such as gameplay and diversity, and makes little use of the genres it's based on. With a low cost and functional co-op, it can still be a cheap option for a few hours of fun without being taken too seriously.

CONTROL Resonant is an excellent sequel that expands the universe of the first game, changing and adding things in a unique way without losing the essence we knew and loved. You can spend hours delving into the text and audio files scattered across the map to better understand the story. The musical elements are very appealing, making the gameplay even more immersive, as are every visual detail in the environments, some perhaps irrelevant, but still satisfying. On the other hand, the difficulty can make the experience frustrating, causing the player to feel stuck and have to leave some things behind until later. In any case, it's a must-have title for fans of the first CONTROL.
