I guess what it comes down to with Ace Combat 7 is what you are after in your flight games. If you want to tweak dials, adjust for wind resistance and make the perfect landing, this isn’t the game for you. If, however you want to take on an entire army while dodging lightning bolts, shooting missiles and doing barrel rolls then you should head to the store and slap your hard-earned cash down right now.
An incredibly raw and powerful experience only held back by an occasional lack of player agency. Bury Me, My Love is an experience that shouldn't be skipped
Override: Mech City Brawl is a game that unfortunately does not live up to what was promised in the trailers. A shallow game that will struggle to keep your interest once you have completed the disappointing storyline.
Gris is a beautiful swirling world of watercolour, ink, grief and hope. Its puzzles and exploration leave you feeling accomplished but toothless moments of danger can dampen some achievements.
neither the RPG or combat components are individually as strong as the games it is so clearly inspired by, but together they combine to create a wonderfully unique experience that takes both genres in new directions. Add to this some wonderful stealth mechanics and a sound and visual design second to none and Mutant Year Zero has easily climbed its way into my top games of the year.
In all, Big Bash Boom feels like a noble first effort in the arcade genre for Big Ant. Issues with graphics and a lack of game modes are pretty well countered by some solid gameplay and a nice sense of humour.
When examined individually, the titles that make up Persona Dancing: Endless Night Collection are a little uneven in terms of depth – the narrative is traded off for visuals and some tracks are more suited to remixing than others. Taken as a whole, however, this is a great package for fans of Persona 4: Dancing All Night who are keen to catch up with the cast of Persona 3 and 5. It's also a great gateway into the rhythm genre for Persona fans who might have skipped P4D and would like to see what all the fuss is about.
11-11: Memories Retold tells a deeply touching human tale of war. Of one man seeking a grand adventure and heroism. Of another man attempting to reunite his fractured family. Of the many who lost their lives serving their respective countries.
Infliction is tense, terrifying and magnificent; a truly horrifying experience for fans of the genre.
Speed based fisticuffs so good you wonder why no one else has done it before. An absolute blast and a must buy for fans of Sonic or Final Fight.
Overall it is a great port with a couple of nice little additions for Nintendo fans and has some medium-term appeal for people who want to play in portable mode or with other Nintendo Switch owners. I wouldn’t trade in my current-gen versions of the game, but would definitely buy in order to have one of the best isometric action RPGs on Nintendo’s flagship console.
A cool mechanic and captivating narration isn't enough to lift this from stock to special, but fans of Tom Baker will find additional rewards as they slog through.

In the space of a year, the Nintendo Switch has set itself up as the premier choice of console for rhythm gamers, with Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun the most polished of the genre on the system and my personal recommendation as the best place for newcomers to start rhythm gaming period.
Gal Metal isn't a game for all rhythm game fans, let alone gamers in general. It does a lot of interesting things in terms of systems and I can't help but admire the level of depth it offers to those willing to learn and practice. This is a game that isn't going to hit the mark for many – however, if it hits for you, it's going to hit hard.
In all NBA 2k Playgrounds 2 lacks some of the simplicity of NBA Jam but more than holds its own with added features, an addictive gameplay loop and a fun, cartoonish presentation style. The microtransactions are the only downer in what is otherwise a stellar bit of arcade fun, one that should be enjoyed by anyone that has regular game nights with friends.
The only way 2K and the WWE will listen is if their poor excuse for a video game doesn’t sell. That way we might finally get the Stone Cold Steve Austin level game we deserve, not the Baron Corbin level game we have been getting.
