4 / 10.0 - Milanoir
Jun 4, 2018

Milanoir may look the part, but it certainly doesn't play like it thanks to finicky controls and a cheap difficulty.

4 / 10.0 - Extinction
Apr 10, 2018

Extinction wants to be a variety of different games, and fucks up with every single one. A haphazard gathering of multiple genres, Extinction fails to develop the multiple aspects of itself, leaving behind a game that's underwhelming at best and frustrating at worst.

It's hard to muster anything more than apathy towards a game which doesn't seem to care too much about itself. With basic mechanics and unfair challenges, I Want To Be Human requires some serious polish before it's worth a purchase.

4.5 / 10.0 - Mechajammer
Dec 9, 2021

Whalenought's retro-inspired RPG attempts to do a lot with very little, resulting in a frustrating experience that hopes to be in the same pantheon as Fallout, but instead falls flat.

While the tactical gameplay authentically captures the Cold War battlefield, Combat Mission Cold War is stuck in the past under a mountain of frustration and tedium of its own design.

4.5 / 10.0 - The Good Life
Oct 14, 2021

While there's still some ramshackle charm and memorable silliness to be had, The Good Life takes every opportunity to sell itself short and make playing it a frustrating, repetitive, and user-antagonistic experience.

4.5 / 10.0 - The Cinema Rosa
Apr 15, 2019

By all accounts, The Cinema Rosa could, and should, have been so much more, but what we're left with is a small game with big problems.

4.5 / 10.0 - Fight of Gods
Jan 22, 2019

Fight of Gods was never going to be a contender with the likes of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, and it shows in the ropey albeit enjoyable gameplay. However, releasing the game without key modes and features makes Fight of Gods hard to recommend.

Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics is a barebones turn-based strategy title that is light on strategy or compelling reasons to slog through waves of uninspired Lovecraftian horrors.

4.5 / 10.0 - Home Sweet Home
Jun 18, 2019

Tiring trial and error gameplay undermines everything Home Sweet Home tries to do, any tension giving away to frustration long before the credits suddenly roll.

Enchanted Portals looks delightful, with 2D animation reminiscent of childhood cartoon favorites, but its monotonous gameplay and artificial difficulty make for a hollow gaming experience that's frustrating in all the wrong ways.

AEW: Fight Forever's good ideas can't save it from a paltry amount of content and somewhat inferior gameplay compared to its competition.

5 / 10.0 - Wanted: Dead
Feb 14, 2023

While there's an audience out there for Wanted: Dead's schtick, the myriad of issues with the whole game make it a tough sell.

5 / 10.0 - Lost Eidolons
Oct 12, 2022

The characters form the heart of Lost Eidolons, but a whole slew of grating and annoying issues makes this a run-of-the-mill tactical role-playing game.

5 / 10.0 - Godfall
Dec 3, 2020

Little more than a shiny exhibition of new-generation graphics, Godfall only succeeds in creating interesting combat systems without giving any thought to the world and story around it.

An unpolished beat 'em up that's somewhat enjoyable in shorter bursts, Cobra Kai's biggest sin is showing mercy to its unnecessary filler.

5 / 10.0 - FIFA 21
Oct 15, 2020

FIFA 21 does little to innovate and has almost no meaningful gameplay changes, making it little more than a roster update to FIFA 20 that most players could happily miss.

5 / 10.0 - Noita
Oct 14, 2020

Noita relies far too heavily on random numbers to create any kind of enjoyment, and though it might make some fun stories, players will be left craving an actual roguelike rather than this RNG simulator.

Re:Turn really needs to decide whether it wants to be a game or a book. It may have some nice ideas and is certainly easy on the eye, but it's sorely lacking in execution.
