Control is an unique title whose highs are game of the year worthy, but the whole package is spoiled by unnecessary flaws. However, The Oldest House remains worthy of a visit.

Ion Fury is a worthy tribute to the classic Build Engine first-person shooters. It offers gripping action and gives you a chance to reminiscence about the perfect atmosphere of the 90s video games. If you're fan of the classic Doom and the like, Ion Fury might very well end up your game of the year.

Man of Medan is basically the same as Until Dawn, just featuring a different coat of paint and a bit shorter and adequately priced. Supermassive Games have delivered exactly what they've promised and from that point of view, it's hard to be disappointed.

Songbird Symphony is a simple title aimed at the younger audience that offers a slightly infantile story that tries to offer moral lessons and beautiful environments and worlds. Veteran gamers probably won't be challenged very much, but even they could enjoy the excellent musical numbers.

Despite Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom being a revival of a 30-year old franchise, it doesn't show at all. It takes only the good parts of the original Wonder Boy games and feels modern in every way.

If you're looking for a classic haunted house experience, Silver Chains doesn't disappoint. The atmosphere works well, the story becomes more interesting as the game continues and some scenes are quite scary. However, if you're looking for some action or groundbreaking new ideas, feel free to look elsewhere.

It's evident that MachineGames aren't completely comfortable with the genre and gameplay concepts they've chosen for Wolfenstein: Youngblood. The only thing that still holds up is the feel of the combat, everything else is a bit disappointing.

The Fate of Atlantis is more or less a satisfying closure of the story of Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Its three new areas offer plenty of content and the only major flaw is the almost complete lack of any gameplay innovations. However, at the end of the day, the recent Assassin's Creed Origins had better DLCs.

Aside from the audiovisual that are great as usual, SteamWorld Quest feels kind of bland. It definitely isn't bad and it can give you a couple hours of enjoyment, but eventually, its relative simplicity will start to wear you down.

F1 2019 had a shorter development cycle than the previous entries in the series, but despite that, Codemasters has managed to improve the franchise in every single way. If you're a fan of motorsports and you don't have any F1 games in your library, this is the best time to fix that. Formula 1 games have never been better.

Frogwares tried to merge a pure detective adventure game with horror action elements and the result is a fairly enjoyable title, although not very cohesive. Sometimes, less is more and the studio's ambitions were drowned in muddy waters just like the unfortunate city of Oakmont. Despite that, The Sinking City remains one of the better adventure games released this year.

Steel Division 2 is a great WW2 era strategy game, exploring the Eastern Front. However, its fresh approach of the RTS genre is slightly underminded by weak tutorialization.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is the best remake published by Activision yet. Immensely enjoyable right from the start, respectful towards the original game and offering a huge amount of content. There's some stuff in it that isn't exactly modern, but that stuff makes Crash Team Racing the game that enthralled millions of players 20 years ago.
