Hideo Kojima has proven to us over and over again that he is a genius when it comes to making games. Death Stranding is not only a great masterpiece, it is a unique experience with an immersive story worthy of a movie. However, its gameplay left us on several occasions pondering it could be much more refined how repetitive the game can become because of it. For those who have never played Death Stranding, the Director's Cut edition is a must. If, on the other hand, you already purchased it for Playstation 4, consider returning to this world if you really liked the game and want more of the same.

Each of the short games included in Short Games Collection #1 delivers truly different experiences, and generally fulfills Nerd Monkeys' stated purpose of quickly giving the player something to think about. However, the value of this set is affected by the existence and accessibility of the PC versions, and because there are no major additions. A larger amount of games in the set or extrinsic bonuses such as "making of" videos would be fundamental to make the package more appetizing.

Life Is Strange: True Colors is a remarkable experience for any player. It's biggest problem is effectively its legacy and need to keep up with the excellent quality of previous titles. The feeling of an experience below expectations is palpable, largely due to our expectations, a shorter story than usual and fewer locations to explore. Even so, it has some strengths: a more immersive soundtrack; a main character better characterized than in previous titles; surprising graphics and ambiance. If, by any chance, you've never played a title in this series, you will definitely be in love! If, on the other hand, you are fans of Life is Strange, we recommend entering this experience with moderate expectations and you certainly won't regret it!

Fifa 22 raises the bar compared to its predecessor, getting very close to what all players are looking for in a football simulator: a fluid and realistic experience. It also brings new game modes and a greatter implementation of the female gender, bringging to the game a more diverse and representative experience. We certainly recommend FIFA 22 not only to fans, but to anyone looking for a new experience in this genre.

Nexomon presents itself as an interesting alternative to the Pokémon series, although clearly of inferior quality. The monster capture and battle mechanics will be familiar and almost as fun as the most popular games, with this title featuring some refreshing ideas and a very captivating narrative. The lack of polish in various aspects of the experience clearly impacts in the final overall experience. Still, if it's a Pokémon clone you're looking for, there are very few offers as solid as this one.

On a console where Mario Kart is king and lord, it would be strange to come up with an arcade racing game that can stand up to it. In this particular case, we believe that, with some work from the producers, this title will have all the possibilities to do so. The problems detected are likely to be rectified with updates and the freedom and range of possibilities owes nothing to Nintendo's colossus. On the contrary, the huge amount of vehicles (and their customization), combined with a tool for creating and sharing tracks, helps the title a lot to cement its position in the console catalogue. If you're Hot Wheels fans and enjoy arcade racing, it's certainly a title to keep an eye on!

F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch is a generally interesting and appealing metroidvania, but with too many problems and frustrating design options. This title features varied gameplay and high-quality platforming sequences, but the inconsistent and frustrating combat detracts too much from the enjoyment of the experience. The obvious lack of refinement results in immense wasted potential, making this title recommendable only to the most avid fans of the genre.

Tales of Arise is a clear evolution of the series' formula, with deeper scenarios and graphics that breathe newness! The more intuitive gameplay, combined with a very competent AI, allows you to enjoy an experience that enhances the interiorization of the plot and characters of this world. Even though it presents a level of difficulty above the average for the series, the challenge presented proves to be gratifying for the player, as the recurring feeling is of justice in the result of our efforts. The future is bright and Tales of Arise may well be the title that will elevate this franchise to the highest levels of the video game market, in a deserved position of greater prominence and recognition.

Whenever Wario and company jump to a new console, we know we can count on unparalleled fun in hundreds of microgames. Get it Together! not only fulfills our expectations, but it also brings unexpected and welcome innovations to the series. For the first time in WarioWare history, we can share this experience with friends in real time, in over 200 microgames as unique and hilarious as we could have hoped for. WarioWare: Get it Together! is a fantastic experience on Switch, which elevates the base gameplay of the series and only falters because it doesn't take advantage of the rich Switch hardware.

Visual Dart and Next Stage have in Ultra Age a diamond in the rough, conveying the feeling of not having been sufficiently polished. Ultra Age reveals itself as a title with an interesting premise with a very rewarding combat system, but with some serious problems at key points in the experience. For this reason, we cannot in good conscience affirm that they do not tarnish the experience as a whole. Still, we believe that if there is ever an "Ultra Age 2" (following the sugestion of the after the end credits scene) we can see this saga in a bigger picture in the videogames business.

Kitaria Fables is intended to reward the most patient players . Having to plant, water, mow and mine to be up to the curve of difficulty that the game presents us, can leave the most impatient unwilling to complete this experience. However, getting involved in this system brings a feeling of realization that still has the premise of seeing the unfolding of the story and all its twists in this adventure with cats, goats, tigers, bears, among others.

We made an effort to like Tormented Souls. We even recognize that it could be the beginning of a franchise with a future. But baby steps. Many baby steps. Perhaps the "religious fans" of Suspense and Horror games can appreciate this one, but it has several points to be improved to bring other types of players to like this initiative.

Hades is a sublime experience and certainly deserving of all the praise it has received over the past year. With gameplay so juicy that we can only describe as addictive, with one of the most appealing visual and sonic aspects you can find, and with such a well-written narrative, we have no doubt that Hades is one of the best games currently available for PlayStation 5, and most likely the best roguelike produced to date.

Evergate is without a doubt an excellent puzzle/platformer game designed for the most persistent, who don't easily let their mistakes down. It's a game that we advise you to leave it installed if you ever reach a more complicated crossroad. Just turn it off and come back after a while! You'll be sure to pull it through!

This is a title that easily manages to arouse the interest of any player, even those who are not a fan of the genre. Grime manages to grab the best of several genres and present an excellent overall result. Thanks to its difficulty, this is undoubtedly a game recommended for anyone looking for a challenge, deserving a place alongside the souls saga and all the other “soulslikes”.

With The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, Zelda fans will be able to experience a phenomenal adventure with captivating characters, ingenious puzzles and an unparalleled combat system, this time without the main aspects that degrade the game on Wii. It still has certain flaws, and while some of them are necessary to preserve the integrity of the original experience, others result from poor remastering choices. Still, Skyward Sword HD is undoubtedly the definitive version of one of the best Wii titles.

After half a decade of without Ace Attorney games, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles not only quenches the thirst for a quality adventure in the courtroom, but also gives us a fresh look at the serie's potential, by introducing a charismatic new cast, unprecedented mechanics and a cultural paradigm. Both longtime fans and newcomers to the series will love this great and complete package.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a great and appealing offer for both Monster Hunter and JRPG fans in general. The combats are always intense, the narrative is captivating, and despite implementing so many complex systems and game mechanics, it manages to do it in such a balanced way that it manages to provide an intuitive and pleasurable experience. It's a pity the myriad of technical problems and some artificial intelligence problems hampered this experience, which is still highly recommendable.

The “Cottage Living” expansion for the Sims 4, presents some new and interesting items and concepts, but it is assumed mainly as a wasted opportunity to insert different content that makes us want to stick to this title in the long run. Fundamentally, the diversity of animals, clothes or furniture proves to be insufficient to address our perception of being facing a new stage in The Sims 4. This aspect could be something addressed with the new city (which is even the best aspect of this DLC) , but it's lack of identity towards rural life does not allow a complete interiorization of what is objectified.
