OlliOlli World overflows with personality, making it a unique title within the genre and quite innovative within the series itself. Escaping from the normal and basic skateboarding games' dynamics, it brings us a unique experience full of life, with different animations, unique and well-crafted worlds and lots of good mood. We believe that this is a title that will attract a lot of fans, not only of the OlliOlli series but also lovers of the 2D platform genre.

It is accurate to say that BlackWind didn't present anything really inovating, but it combined several formulas (successfully) and presented a very pleasant experience. A title for players who like different styles and enjoy a gratifying gameplay, without many compromises. Nevertheless, we highlight the available difficulty modes (which are reflected in enemy fire rates and higher HP), which manage to adjust this title, from a more casual to a more frantic experience.

How you'll enjoy Metroid Dread depends on what you're expecting from the game. If you want a traditional Metroid experience, don't hesitate, because that's exactly what Metroid Dread is. In addition to following the formula of the classics to the letter, Dread introduces us to the most versatile and agile Samus in the series, majestic and challenging bosses, and an HD presentation that is a treat for the eyes. But we were hoping to find in Dread some kind of evolution of the formula, a wish that we don't deem unfair considering the indie titles of the same genre which managed successfully to improve the formula's potential. Metroid Dread seems to have been created in a bubble, so much so that the only innovation that MercurySteam has introduced is a new type of enemies, the seven E.M.M.I., which poetically exhaust their originality in minutes.

With Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon, Yacht Club Games has made its versatility evident in creating gameplay radically different from Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, without losing a hint of the quality that made the developer's original game so acclaimed. The end result is a phenomenal and refined puzzle game that is complex without being alienating and has a variety of options to enhance the fun of both novice and experienced players alike. Just missing extra modes that put rules or special events in normal gameplay, thus increasing the (already immense) replayability value.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl do the bare minimum to justify their current release. No doubt they add some new features and quality of life elements missing from the originals, but some of these are poorly implemented and many of the problems in the base games remain untouched. Without a doubt it's a good game and another good adventure in this ever fascinating universe, but we expected more from the remake of one of the most popular generations of Pokémon.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is, without a doubt, an example of how to release a game based on heroes from the Marvel universe, revealing that Square Enix has learned from the mistakes of the past. We highlight in particular its excellent narrative, an interaction between the characters from another world and a luxurious and truly striking soundtrack. Still, its lackluster combat and some small bugs that can unnerve players tend to prevent this game from being classified as a masterpiece. Nevertheless, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a must-have game for all heroes fans and for those who want to enter this universe.

It is impossible not to classify this offer as disappointing. There is merit in the work of making these classics more visually appealing and mechanically more modern, but the flaws are too many and incomprehensible. The three games are technically extremely defective, with huge crashes and numerous bugs plaguing the overall experience. Still, playing Vice City and San Andreas remains incredibly fun and enjoyable. So there is value here, but these games deserved much more love and affection from everyone involved.

Shin Megami Tensei V is a solid experience of what the series can present to the player. Never taking any chances with the formula, it introduces an interesting world, but one that tends to compare too much with other releases in the same series. Some better design choices could have been considered, mainly to avoid midgame repeatability, which tended to sharply accentuate during our time with this title. For fans of the genre, it is certainly an option to consider, but do not foresee a significant evolution or a reformulation of its dynamics, as it may lead to serious disappointment.

Unfortunately it has started to be recurrent in the video game industry to release titles as "unfinished" and where BattleField 2042 seems to fit perfectly. But despite that, we believe that with the implementation of several patches, all the bugs we found in the game can be solved and EA and DICE give a clear shot with the new dynamics inserted.

By turning the roles of heroes and villains upside down, Carrion delivers a unique and fun experience. Literally incarnating a monster and causing chaos and destruction is cathartic, and adding a surprisingly appealing narrative to it all makes for a pretty complete experience. It falls a little short in one aspect or another, namely when it comes to incentives and rewards for the careful exploration of the world, but Carrion never ceases to be an extremely recommendable game.

Although the story and combat mechanics shine in Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water, the predictability of this game means that this horror title, in a short time, loses any kind of impact on the player. The new features that the remastering introduces do nothing to mitigate this problem, as they do not influence the gameplay itself. What's more, this version is marred by performance issues that severely tarnish the experience, especially in TV mode.

Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is the series' second entry in the West, denoting a clear and concrete growth of its peculiarities. For us it's clear that the saga is on the right path to becoming a heavyweight, with the ability to easily face the most recognized RPG's that are deeply enshrined in the video game market. Certainly there are some flaws, but overall they have little impact on the transmitted experience. With a pleasurable plot to discover and surpass, its virtues left us delighted and clinging to the command!

Combining some of the best mini games, board games and mechanics in the series, alongside pertinent quality of life improvements, a surprisingly competent online multiplayer system and an audiovisual makeover, Mario Party Superstars stands out quite positively from the last decades' titles of the series. In fact, we could consider that the only significant disappointment is in regards to the unsatisfactory amount of boards included. Despite this, the quality of the content covered makes this compilation not only one of the best games in the series, but also one of Switch's most fun and addictive party games.

Phoenix Point is an excellent retainer for fans of turn-based strategy games. Despite being a style that doesn't have a wide range of connoisseurs, it is still well defined in all aspects and with a deep strategic system to be considered by those who want to try it. The flaws noted do not leave negative feelings that prevent us from enjoying this title. If you want to try the genre, here without a doubt is an excellent option. For fans, including those who have probably played the X-COM titles, they won't feel that it's a copy. Certainly with some similarities, it's true, but with quite a different feeling.

The simplest way to describe Tetris Effect: Connected is as an unique sensory experience. The involvement of visual and aural effects with every action we take is sublime, and it's always a delight to see the entire screen reacting to our game. With so many game modes to explore, there's content here for long hours of great entertainment. This is one of the most successful audiovisual experiences on Switch, and quite possibly the best Tetris experience currently on the market.

Demon Slayer could be without a doubt one of the best anime-inspired games in recent times. You can count on a story 100% faithful to the anime. The title considers very detailed, beautiful graphics, a captivating soundtrack and a simple, yet exciting and challenging combat system. However it loses a lot of arguments when it comes to the insipid aspect of exploration, the uninteresting online mode and especially in regards tonthe small diversity of characters. The improvement opportunities are significant, but if you are fans of anime and in particular Demon Slayer, you can count on an experience that lives up to the name.

Crytek defines Crysis Remastered as an epic singleplayer experience. Both Crysis 2 and 3 are on par with newer first-person shooters, achieving great association with the characters and introducing a captivating storyline and theme. It's really a shame they didn't take the same care in refining the first title to make this experience complete. A clear opportunity for improvement in this set. However, its inclusion in this package is essential. We strongly recommend it if you want to relive this epic saga. If you're fans of first person shooters and focusing on single-player campaigns, it's also an experience to behold.

Aeon Drive is fast, it's demanding and, above all, it's a lot of fun! With mechanics that are simple to understand, but that set them apart from much of the competition, we never stopped having fun exploring well-designed levels and experimenting with new tricks. It lacks the excellence of other titles from the same genre, mainly due to some technical hiccups and small decisions less well achieved when it comes to placing traps. Still, it is definitely a game that deserves a bigger audience than what it got so far!

If you enjoy the genre, G.Darius HD is an experience not to be missed. One of the best and most innovative releases in the series, featuring a quality transition to 3D. This HD version, thanks to its aesthetic improvements and soundtrack typical of the saga, will grab anyone for many long hours. Whether it's to complete the game, get the best scores or complete the catalog of enemies, you can count on a pleasantly extensive experience!

I wish I had a 20-year celebration this great. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is an amazing homage to the series legacy, as it brings back more than 300 levels from the original games with superb controls, polish and presentation, and at the same time introduces new additions which modernize the package and increase its replay value.
