The co-op spin-off isn't perfect, though. There are various issues, from balancing to bugs to other minor inconsistencies. Furthermore, the lack of cross-play support is a real shame. If you can't get enough of "Elden Ring" and want to take on a major challenge with your friends, it's definitely worth giving "Nightreign" a try!

While it might have been a mediocre title fifteen years ago, today it can't compete with either new games or the classics from its original era. But all in all, we think that's okay. It might be useful for a little nostalgia boost, but anyone looking for a fun or good game should steer clear of "Captain Blood."

The duck detective's second case is fantastic, and it's simply a joy to be able to enjoy a short, crisp, and entertaining detective adventure with many exciting elements. The fact that we can now play Eugene McQuacklin's investigations entirely in German is the icing on the cake.

The mission design also scores points for variety, but not with great gameplay diversity, but rather by piling up one absurdity after another. Whether the controls are intentionally poorly designed to produce as much chaos as possible remains to be seen. But it is so bad (in the car!) that it can easily become a fun-killer for some gamers in the long run.

"Blades of Fire" surprised us in a very positive way. After the dubious prologue, we would have guessed it would be mediocre, but the game quickly picks up pace and improves with almost every hour of play.

Although the game doesn't stand out graphically, it's also a technical achievement. The in-house engine, which has been refined over several games and is already specialized for driving through various types of terrain, reaches a new peak here. We're also curious to see how "RoadCraft" develops after its release – after all, there will be extensive support, including mods, on PC and console.

For fans of turn-based tactical games with a dystopian setting, "Chains of Freedom" still offers a worthwhile experience that impresses with its atmosphere, exciting story, and solid gameplay, even if it doesn't set new standards in all areas.

The Slayer feels like an agile tank: precise and brutal. Every step, every blow feels weighty and satisfying, while the game's varied combat and puzzles continually add new twists and turns. The mix of explosive action and hidden secrets makes for an overall motivating experience.

If atmosphere is more important to you than gameplay, and the experience is more important to you than straightforward game mechanics, "Spirit of the North 2" could be just the thing for you. Fans of the predecessor can confidently buy this.

What remains is a truly feel-good Metroidvania with a fast-paced story, plenty of variety, a strong soundtrack, plenty of humor, few flaws, and a very flexible co-op mode that's compelling both online and offline. Bravo, Raccoon Logic!

In the menus and career, the game still feels a bit stiff and conservative, but on the track, we have even more options to adapt our experience to our abilities. And so, while "MotoGP 25" is still far from "Forza Horizon," it offers a fair amount of options, flexibility, and visual appeal to better appeal to racing game fans. Therefore: If you want to virtually race around on a motorcycle for a change, "MotoGP 25" is a very good alternative.

Accordingly, you'll need to plan for several game nights. This also speaks in favor of the classic pen-and-paper or "Dungeons & Dragons" experience, as there, too, one or two missions are played in an afternoon or evening—but it takes several iterations to complete a campaign. In conclusion, "Sunderfolk" really does a lot of things right. We hope that more classes and missions will be added at some point.

As a shoot 'em up, however, it only works to a limited extent. Because a large portion of each playthrough is randomly generated, the game is very difficult to learn. At the same time, it offers more variety than the usual side-scrolling genre representatives. You can definitely spend a lot of time with the game if you're willing to embrace this combination of genres.

All in all, however, "Steel Seed" is a coherent action-adventure with likeable main characters and a gripping story. So, if you're looking for a linear gaming experience away from the open-world blockbusters, you'll definitely find a suitable alternative here.

For us as players, "Once Upon a Puppet" is a bit like the world within the game itself: a play full of adventure, heart, and quirky characters, somewhat predictable and with numerous loving details. It's one that takes place on a low-level stage—it can't (yet) make it onto the big AAA stages, but it will find many fans who will love this special style and explore every corner until they've uncovered every last secret. "Once Upon a Puppet" has many facets and, despite the rather slow pace of the production, is a play that's definitely worth seeing.

The learning curve is quite steep, and the exercises in training mode could be more accessible. Furthermore, the staging and presentation of the story sections could be much more dynamic. The game feels rather dated here. If you can overlook this, you can still really put the pedal to the metal in "City of the Wolves" and let your fury run wild.
