Ereban’s vibrant landscapes pulse with life as NPCs bustle about, engaging in their own conversations and routines, further drawing you in with the sounds of the world around you. Their presence not only enriches the immersive world but also serves as a poignant reminder of Ayana’s solitary struggle against overwhelming odds.
Players will be able to visit a store during the match and gain items to either help defend themselves from other players, such as a gun, or light traps, but you will also be able to get some fun to-use items like a ball and chain that will keep a player stuck for a few seconds or a GPS tracker that you can place on people so you can see where they are at all times.
The Graphics in Outpost: Infinity Siege are impressive. Graphics are on a level with many AAA games being realistic, with distant terrain being rendered to a lower quality to give the effect of distance, giving it perfect realism. This also adds an excellent balance to performance with the game having quite good overall performance, with in-depth settings to fine-tune your experience. Animations from robots and defences are very smooth and look absolutely flawless.
What Diamond Hands: To The Moon aims to do, it does really well. It is addictive rage inducing fun that will keep you busy and frustrated, but feel accomplished if you can make it all the way to that damn Moon.
Princess Peach: Showtime! is a perfect game to sit down, relax, and get immersed in. It’s not super hard, and certainly not something you need to think about. You can just sit down and revisit characters you have grown to love, as well as meet new ones
Overall, if you are chasing a game that does not take long but will have you laughing at its crude humour then South Park: Snow Day has been designed for you. While its gameplay at times is a bit questionable like its jokes, ‘It’s time to go to South Park and have a time’!
Nixxes Software has taken a massive leap forward in PC porting compared to some PlayStation PC ports released over the years. This game has set a new standard for PC ports, abundant in graphical and performance options, and improvements to the original. Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition retains the spirit of the PlayStation version and brings an already incredible game to a broader audience on PC; its incredible visuals, exciting gameplay, and technical marvel make it a perfect must-play for fans of story-rich action-adventure games.
Pepper Grinder proves there’s little more thrilling than drilling for a 2-D platforming adventure. Ahr Ech and Devolver Digital have a real treasure in this one. I recommend it to players who enjoy casual chaos with a charming twist.
Attack of the Karens though full of genres is a perfect example if you put time and precision into the development of a game you will have an exceptional and functional product. The retro aesthetic of visuals and sound make for a perfect trip down memory lane for those who owned a Gameboy. The challenge on offer with the replayability options, and the addictive one-more-run gameplay make Attack of the Karens highly enjoyable.
Unicorn Overlord is a brand-new IP that’s already made a big impact, impressing both gamers and critics. With about 50 hours of game time to enjoy, the epic story is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression, but it’s the gameplay that will first pull you in and make sure you stay for the ride. The 2D graphics with highly detailed anime art and smooth animations, along with the orchestral soundtrack and talented voice cast, are a marvel to behold. Unicorn Overlord is an RPG game like no other, and one that should not be overlooked.
You will even go on a global scoreboard for all the competitive types out there, and to add a little extra spice, if you can achieve S Rank on all stages in Final Fantasy mode, you will unlock a secret stage with a secret boss, so good luck.
Bears In Space is a fantastic game. With only three developers working on the game, and with so much attention to detail, there’s no wonder why it took them roughly seven years to release it, and everyone will enjoy this game. Besides the obstructed shooting angles, which I hope they can address, Bears In Space is a very polished game, and I have enjoyed my time playing.
Rise Of The Ronin is a deep insight into the history of Japan from the perspectives of many individuals while also carrying its own parallel narrative of your character. A massive feat in itself. The open world is full of things to do and the combat is strategically paced but also refreshing as you upgrade it with your stances, equipment and skill trees. Any issues I had with this title were very surface-level and didn’t ruin my time at all. Rise Of The Ronin was an intriguing horse in the race of games so far this year, and I lapped up everything it had to give. It might be more subtle from Team Ninja but it’s just as impressive.
Stilt is a fantastic nod to the classic platformers that have come before. It’s bright, bouncy, fluid, fun, and presents a hefty challenge. I’ve loved my time with this incredible offering and it has certainly bounced its way into my heart. I look forward to seeing you in the PVP arena of Stilt when it springs onto PSVR2 on March 8th 2024.
The developers did a fantastic job with this reimagination of ‘Alone in the Dark’. It was the perfect mixture of puzzles, mystery and a great storyline to keep you enthralled in the title for hours. If you love a great eerie story where you need to think outside of the box then this is a perfect skin-crawling experience for you.
Hi-Fi Rush may not have been successful the first time, but now it’s available to even more players on PlayStation 5. First, it was only accessible via the Xbox Game Pass, but now it’s available to purchase on its own and a physical version will also finally be available thanks to Limited Run Games. The bright and colourful characters, environments, enemies, bosses and more, all playing along to the beat, make this a must-buy for any console it’s available on. Hi-Fi Rush is the perfect game for anyone ready to rock!
Not in a million years would anyone have ever expected to see Plumber’s Don’t Wear Ties on modern consoles, but here we are. It may be a remaster that nobody asked for, but we certainly are glad that Limited Run Games made it happen.
Contra: Operation Galuga isn’t just a one-for-one remake with a facelift of the Konami classic from 37 years ago. It adds more context to the story and isn’t afraid to change things up.
“For as long as there is Tekken, your story will continue”. Katsuhiro Harada and the team at Bandai Namco have been taking all the steps in the right direction and Tekken’s future is looking more electrifying than ever.
The Like a Dragon series has always gone all out with their storytelling and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth keeps that momentum going by looking into the future while not ignoring the past and is once again, a big emotional rollercoaster. The turn-based mechanics have some new additions making it more fun and entertaining than before.
