7.5 / 10.0 - Gorn 2
Jul 17, 2025

‘Gorn 2’ delivers more of everything that made ‘Gorn’ a must-play for VR enthusiasts. Although the campaign is way too short for my liking, there is endless fun to be had playing with the Custom and Endless modes. Expressive combat, increased variety of weaponry, over-the-top violence, challenging boss battles and kicking the crap out of many Rokibe. What’s not to love about that? With only a couple of minor issues ‘Gorn 2’ is a solid entry and well worth adding to your PSVR2 library.

7.5 / 10.0 - Ready or Not
Jul 15, 2025

Ready or Not will make a strong debut on Xbox Series X with some fine-tuning and polishing. It delivers a tense, tactical shooter that doesn’t shy away from realism and consequences.

7.5 / 10.0 - Cartoon Survivor
Jul 13, 2025

Overall, the game still feels like a mobile game, but it is visually pleasing and has done a good job of crossing over to PC Gaming. Not groundbreaking, but it scratches the gaming itch. It’s a short title, but completionists will have satisfaction or frustration from replaying levels to get all trophies and stars. Could have done a lot more to move away from the mobile feel.

7 / 10.0 - Tamagotchi Plaza
Jul 7, 2025

Tamagotchi Plaza: The Nintendo Switch 2 edition is a cute little casual game for those looking for a low-stakes, stress-free gaming session. It’s a family-friendly title that could keep young kids occupied for a while and isn’t overly challenging.

8 / 10.0 - Len's Island
Jul 6, 2025

Overall, I enjoy Len’s Island, and the people at Flow Studio have done a great job with their debut title. With the update released, it is clear that they have listened to their community. I would recommend it to all survival fans, but with a genre so overpopulated, I fear Len’s Island may fall to the wayside.

6.5 / 10.0 - God of Weapons
Jul 3, 2025

Overall, the game is simple in audio, visuals, and gameplay. But it has a difficult underbelly when it comes to levelling up and managing your inventory. It comes at a good price and serves as a decent time killer, but it feels more like a mobile-style game.

8.5 / 10.0 - Anger Foot
Jul 2, 2025

While Anger Foot on PS5 doesn’t reinvent itself, it doesn’t need to. What it does is deliver the same unfiltered adrenaline rush with a level of physical feedback only the DualSense can offer.

8 / 10.0 - Battle Train
Jul 2, 2025

What do you get when you mash together a rogue-lite deck-builder, customisable trains armed to the teeth with explosives, and a cartoon-style game show? You get Battle Train — an imaginative, chaotic ride that feels like Total Drama Island met Slay the Spire.

Against the Storm is the kind of city-builder that even the most hardcore fans of the genre will feel the pressure in. It may not be for everyone, but for players looking for a surprisingly cosy wind-down game for an hour or so per settlement that still gives some challenge, Against the Storm might be worth braving the weather for.

8 / 10.0 - White Knuckle
Jun 29, 2025

White Knuckle is intense, stylish, and unforgiving—in all the right ways. It’s a love letter to speedrunners and ’90s retro platforming fans.

In conclusion, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is everything I ever could’ve wanted from a sequel. It brings back the same satisfying gameplay loop, delivers an improved and emotionally charged narrative, and showcases the best recreation of Australia I’ve ever seen in a video game. I’m not exaggerating when I say this could very well be Hideo Kojima’s magnum opus.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Alters
Jun 27, 2025

Overall, The Alters is a personal sci-fi survival game that is as much a character study as a base management sim. It weaves storytelling with a satisfying gameplay loop in which your decisions and choices have actual consequences for the mission’s outcome. It’s an indie game that should not be slept on in 2025.

Overall, I enjoyed my time with Mars First Logistics. I was once told I had an engineer’s brain, but this tested me. You really must consider so much when building your rover. This can overwhelm some or make creativity shine. With the cell shading graphics and soundtrack to match the aesthetic, it is a great title, and it starts from Shape Shop.

RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army may be more appreciated by fans of the original PlayStation 2 title, but for me, there wasn’t enough thrill in the detective work or in fighting to stand up to the modern-era of ATLUS games.

8 / 10.0 - Split Fiction

Split Fiction on Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t quite hit the same technical highs as its Xbox debut, but the story, tension, and gameplay are top-tier.

The original Yakuza 0 was a great way to introduce newcomers to the series while also providing more lore to diehard fans. The Director’s Cut adds some unique features not seen in the original. Now is a good time as any to get into the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series to experience the origins of the Dragon of Dojima and the Mad Dog of Shimano, and it all starts with Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut.

Overall, the Legends of the Zone trilogy is a great bundle and is the best way to experience the original trilogy. While the games haven’t been brought back into the modern era in every aspect, they still retain the same key ingredients, such as gritty charm, dark atmosphere, and tough survival mechanics, which is what made them cult classics in the first place. Whether you’re a newcomer to the Zone or a returning veteran, this bundle is a haunting, rewarding journey through one of the best post-apocalyptic settings you’ll find in any medium.

In conclusion, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is a refreshing take on the genres it challenges, successfully blending farming, adventuring, and romance against a beautifully reimagined setting. While it may stumble slightly in areas like early-game pacing, it more than makes up for it with its characters, satisfying progression, and ‘one more day’ gameplay loop.
