Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 is packed with content and offers dozens of achievements to complete and levels to explore. The feeling of playing these games more than 20 years ago is still very much alive, even though the graphics are sharper and the gameplay works better than you remember. Although Pro Skater 4's departure from its open-world structure may disappoint fans of the original, there's no denying that Iron Galaxy has done everything possible to make the two games cohesive and fun.

7.7 / 10.0 - Shadow Labyrinth
Jul 17, 2025

Shadow Labyrinth is recommended for all Metroidvania fans looking for original Pac-Man-themed elements. Bandai Namco's latest effort manages to entertain with complex gameplay and a different take on the famous franchise. It's just a shame about the somewhat flawed checkpoint management and some sections that might discourage newcomers.

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is an example of how a product created by a team limited only in terms of numbers and budget, but not in creativity and attention to detail, can emerge and stand out as one of the best releases of 2025. River End's stealth game takes us to a world that is both distant and close at the same time, and Hanna's adventure and search for her brother drew us in thanks to the power of its more than solid gameplay.

The remaster of System Shock 2 brings us back to a great masterpiece of the past... with a few too many years under its belt. It was light years ahead of its time, but some of its systems haven't aged well. However, with a compelling story and gameplay that is still very solid, it remains a milestone in the shooter genre that younger players can now catch up on.

PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY is the package designed for those who want to dive back into the fun and captivating experience originally released on PSP. The accessibility settings added by Bandai Namco allow anyone to interact with the franchise, especially given the budget price.

8 / 10.0 - God of Weapons
Jul 6, 2025

God of Weapons is a gem in the auto-battler genre. It does not revolutionise the rules, but reinterprets them with intelligence, originality and a style all its own. The combination of inventory management, unlockable classes and tactical synergies makes each run unique and potentially addictive. With a few targeted updates, including more interesting bosses, more varied environments and new challenges, Archmage Labs' effort could easily aspire to cult status. But as it is, it is a must for those who love optimisation, experimentation and that irresistible feeling of “one more game and then I quit”.

Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition is a title mainly dedicated to historical fans of the series. The game basically re-presents the original gameplay, aged really well after 25 years. The addition of the old classics is a good cue, as is the chance to relive the entire history of the saga. Those expecting a few more improvements or mode additions will be disappointed. Nevertheless, Worms Armageddon is a title that must be tried at least once in a lifetime. What better occasion than this?

Unlike other titles that seek to capitalise on the nostalgia surrounding 3D platformers, Ruffy and the Riverside adds something pleasantly compelling to the formula with its SWAP mechanic, which encourages variety and ingenuity. However, it is not entirely flawless: there are various shortcomings scattered here and there, the result of somewhat excessive naivety, perhaps due to the team's inexperience.

7.9 / 10.0 - Star Overdrive
Jun 24, 2025

Star Overdrive is a title that manages to combine many different styles of gameplay in a single adventure. The hoverboard exploration system, combined with dynamic combat and a carefully crafted, colourful setting, make this title developed by Caracal Games a noteworthy game that is well worth trying out.

Aureole – Wings of Hope is a flight worth taking. But be warned: if you're looking for a relaxed and reflective experience, it may prove too punishing. Either way, it's a little gem in the indie platformer landscape.

RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is an unexpected move by Sega and Atlus, who finally bring back to our screens the mysterious Japanese demon summoner from the 1930s. This is more than just a remaster, but not quite a remake either. The improvements mainly concern the combat system and some quality of life elements, but in general, what captivates us about Raidou is its unusual and fascinating atmosphere, the result of a combination of esotericism and Taishō-era Japan.

7 / 10.0 - Tron: Catalyst
Jun 19, 2025

A vote of encouragement, rather than real substance. TRON: Catalyst isn't a terrible video game; it's playable and, above all, explorable, with a world that's much more interesting than the combat. We're a little curious about the third (?) instalment in this series, but we hope something more ambitious comes out of it. Perhaps we have too high hopes for this franchise?

7.8 / 10.0 - FBC: Firebreak
Jun 17, 2025

FBC: Firebreak is an experiment that we feel compelled to promote. Remedy has decided to go against the grain by offering a cooperative title for three players at a time when the market is saturated with productions of this kind, which tend to hide more pitfalls than opportunities. Nevertheless, thanks to its immediate and entertaining gameplay, Sam Lake's team's new effort is convincing, even if a little more content to diversify it would not have gone amiss. As is always the case with games of this genre, only time (and post-launch support) will determine the true success of the venture.

9 / 10.0 - Stellar Blade
Jun 15, 2025

Stellar Blade arrives on PC and is one of Sony's best ports ever. The spectacular moves of the beautiful Eve flow across our monitors without any lag or frame rate hesitation, and even on the portable Steam Deck, Shift Up's title surprised us with its playability. Excellent work!

8.5 / 10.0 - Mario Kart World
Jun 13, 2025

It's a shame about the free roam mode, announced as the big new feature of Mario Kart World, which fails to be anything more than a simple and unimpressive diversion. It's a shame, because Mario Kart World remains a sumptuous, gigantic, fun and beautiful game to look at and play. The launch of Switch 2 is slow, with very few first-party titles: this alone, however, is already an excellent calling card.

Lies of P: Overture is a rich DLC, sufficiently long-lasting and well integrated with the base game, even though it is a prequel and therefore a separate adventure. There is plenty of plot, a great sense of discovery, just the right amount of horror, new quests, new weapons, new bosses (although not many): despite a few flaws, it is a quality product that managed to excite and entertain us. Players who loved exploring Krat are unlikely to be disappointed. Happy hunting, puppets!

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is one of the most successful Hades-like experiences. Despite the complexity of the development process, Stormteller Games and Thunderful have succeeded in the far from easy task of creating a fun and immediate product that manages to carve out its own place in the increasingly crowded roguelike landscape.

The combination of souls and rogue proposed by Nightreign was an idea that could have worked well, but it was undermined by a superficial implementation of its core mechanics and a lack of new content.

7.8 / 10.0 - Section 13
Jun 9, 2025

Section 13 is a game in which the Roguelite component works well, encouraging the player to repeat the loop, trying to upgrade between runs. The gameplay itself, based on the dual stick system, is effective, with an intuitive and easy-to-use control system. The game is obviously designed to be at its best in co-op mode. Unfortunately, this mode is not yet available. With the implementation of co-op, Ocean Drive Studio's work can only get better.

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster is not just a simple re-release, but represents Square Enix's desire to bring past masterpieces back into vogue so that everyone can enjoy them. Although this new version does not radically alter the original work in terms of content, the graphic restyling and modern settings justify the purchase, especially given the reasonable price.
