Ravenswatch is a game that puts gameplay and fun (especially together with other friends) first. The goal of Passtech Games has been almost completely achieved, were it not for the challenge rate that might discourage single players and a storyline that is not too engaging. Nevertheless, the new game published by Nacon should definitely be considered if one is looking for a roguelike product that is direct and immediate in its mechanics.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is packed with content and modes, and taking flight in its hundreds of aircraft is incredible. The landscapes are beautiful to look at, as are the aircraft models, and the network connection for meterelogic data acquisition succeeds in delivering a feeling of continuous realism. Too bad about the disastrous day one, but Asobo is working hard to improve a situation that could have jeopardised the game's launch.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl brings back one of the most iconic FPSs of the last 20 years. Despite the time that has passed, the guys at GSC Game World have created a worthy successor to the first chapter. The team decided not to distort the series, maintaining a high level of difficulty compared to other modern shooters. Each step into the Exclusion Zone could be our last: not only because of the creatures and enemies that will try to kill us, but also because of the atmospheric and radioactive anomalies that will put our survival skills to the test. On the side we find an excellent graphic and sound compartment even if there are several technical problems and bugs that we hope will be solved in a short time.

There can never be a suitable rating for a game like Slitterhead. Poor, bare and repetitive, yet unique, original and full of charm. Those looking for something different in the gaming landscape will probably be satisfied, while those who want a clean product on par with modern homogeneity should look elsewhere.

Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake is a product that partially succeeds in its intent. As much as the technical and artistic realisation fully hits the mark, the guys at Artdink have limited themselves to smoothing out only a few corners of the original production, while leaving some now archaic interaction mechanics. Fans of old-school RPGs will therefore be more than satisfied with the work done, on the contrary probably to neophytes.

Taiko no Tatsujin has always been a fun rhythm game. The new Rhythm Festival series is the best entry point for beginners who want to learn more about Bandai Namco's music game, but there are still some concerns about the model chosen for paying for the many additional tracks not found in the basic edition.

As interesting as the art direction and various game mechanics are, Mario & Luigi: Fraternal Charge is probably not the great comeback that many fans were hoping for, due to some choices that detract from its formula and enjoyment. The basic structure seemed excessively repetitive (perhaps the concept is starting to age a little too much?), and it failed to recapture the charisma of other Nintendo productions. It remains a cute, enjoyable and universally enjoyable RPG, even if we were hoping for something more for the return of this historic and beloved series.

Mindcop is a game that knows how to entertain and brings the player into the climax of investigative activity. Despite being a minute title both in duration and content, the story is interesting and the gameplay simple but satisfying. It is a pity that the only mini-game is a little listless, which can however be deactivated if necessary. On the other hand, the game is well cared for in terms of graphic style, animations and atmosphere.

LEGO Horizon Adventures is a title that manages to thrill and engage, but could have dared more. The Guerrilla and Studio Gobo production does indeed enjoy entertaining gameplay, which however clashes with an unfulfilling amount of content, both in the levels and in the side activities. The title is therefore recommended to those who adore Aloy's IP and to gamers looking for a straightforward and no-frills experience, even better if in company.

Planet Coaster 2 is without a doubt the best theme park management game. The creation and customisation system is one of the most comprehensive in the genre, and it's no exaggeration to say that you'll spend hundreds of hours perusing the game editor. The addition of the water attractions greatly increases the game's offerings and introduces new features that complete the gaming experience. Unfortunately, the management system remains a secondary aspect of the production, despite the fact that it too has been revised in comparison to its predecessor.

Ark of Charon is a game that on paper might have good potential to entertain, but on its own fails to offer much more than an inspired and polished graphic design. Its gameplay would have needed much more refinement, and its technical side also leaves a lot to be desired. We hope that Ark of Charon will be a necessary step for Angoo Inc. to offer more polished new works in the future.

The Xbox version of Death Stranding Director's Cut represents an excellent opportunity for all Microsoft gamers who had never been able to get their hands on Kojima's latest creation. To this day, Death Stranding remains a superlative game with unique gameplay. Despite this, we are still faced with a game that divides the gaming community without half measures: if you didn't like it initially, you won't this time either. On the whole, however, the porting to Xbox Series X/S has been optimised properly, as it was already done on PS5.

War Mongrels is a real-time strategy game developed by Destructive Creations that offers a unique experience set on the Eastern Front of World War II. Launching on PC in October 2021, the title follows the story of Manfred and Ewald, two Wehrmacht soldiers who choose to defect to join the resistance against German forces. The storyline is inspired by historical events, enhanced by an intense narrative and characters with unique abilities that make the gameplay varied and challenging. Missions require stealth and strategy, with the option to plan coordinated actions through an innovative planning mode. Despite some difficulties related to artificial intelligence and controls that are not always intuitive, the game shines with its detailed graphics and engaging soundtrack, which contribute to a dramatic and realistic atmosphere.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is an action RPG with extremely fun gameplay, especially in the combat phase. The main plot and characters fail to captivate the player from the start, but if we give the narrative the right amount of time, we will have a compelling script and interesting teammates on our hands. Visually, The Veilguard is a spectacle, with its effects-laden abilities and postcard fantasy world design. One unfortunately gets the feeling of being led by the developers' hand a little too much, but on balance this is a very good product.

Vampire Survivors' new DLC, Ode to Castlevania, continues the trend of evolving ideas from the base game, with a huge map to explore, new characters and some of the best boss battles to date. If you're a fan of Konami's saga, it's a must-have DLC.

The Life & Death expansion for The Sims 4 introduces a gothic and supernatural world, fulfilling every mystery fan's dream. Set in atmospheric Ravenwood, this expansion transports players to a world immersed in mist, ancient tombs and Transylvanian-style villages, populated by enigmatic characters and enhanced by unique atmospheres that mix gothic, horror and irony. Ravenwood offers new outfits and traits for the Sims, ghost-making possibilities, themed events and secret societies, inviting players to explore the dark side of the game. New features also include the ability to build cemeteries, organise funerals and pursue careers in the funeral industry. Life & Death profoundly reworks the theme of mortality and time, turning death into an exploratory and immersive journey. The expansion brings realism and intensity, making it one of the best ever created for The Sims 4.

Although the concept of the film is faithfully reproduced, the successful video game remake is not successful. The main mechanics dampen the pace too much, handing the audience a poorly executed and unoriginal product.

[REDACTED] is an addictive game. The inspiration taken from Hades has not annihilated the personality of the Striking Distance Studio production, which is fun and well characterised. The only pity is a not too thorough balancing of the weapons and a not impeccable level design, which do not allow it to reach the Olympus of roguelites.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure is definitely a worthy sequel to Max Caulfield's first adventure. Returning to impersonate the protagonist of the first chapter conveys a decidedly successful nostalgia effect, thanks to the many references present. The new narrative plot is very well told and allows you to immerse yourself in the emotions and feelings of an adult Max. Nevertheless, Deck Nine Games' product is only half successful. This is because the choices given to the player lead to limited changes, without effectively affecting the game's ending. In other words, the sense of freedom is only apparent and replayability suffers greatly. The same goes for the gameplay. The inclusion of alternative dimensions could have opened up a range of options that are almost always reduced to having to enter one reality to pick up an item to use in the other. In short, it seems that Deck Nine Games wanted to do the bare minimum by creating a game that is certainly enjoyable but gets lost in a glass of water. Who knows what would have happened if the American team had had the courage to dare more. Perhaps, there is an alternative world in which this happened.

Call of Duty: Black Ops marks a great comeback for Treyarch's franchise, as well as a very important restart after a MW3 made of and with laziness. The single player campaign is enthralling, the multiplayer entertains in all its forms, and the Zombies mode caters to all palates, from historical fans to new ones. A great COD.
