BPM: Bullets per Minute arrives on Nintendo Switch two years after its original release and does so bringing the same load of action and adrenaline. Declining every action with the beat of rock music is an addictive and magnetic experience that reaffirms Awe Interactive's winning idea. Unfortunately, the Switch conversion makes technical compromises to preserve the same play experience. This, combined with a severe difficulty curve, make it a product suitable mainly for fans.

Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed is a quintessential “nostalgia operation.” Black Forest Games repurposes the cult title from 16 years ago by polishing the graphical aspect but keeping the gameplay and the politically incorrect sense of humor intact. The years that have passed weigh on the play formula, without, however, detracting from the nonsensical fun that the production continues to be able to deliver... as long as you indulge in its lightness, letting yourself be lulled by a sweet melancholy.

7 / 10.0 - The Company Man
Sep 5, 2022

The Company Man mixes satire with the most classic of action platformers. Forust looks with almost Dante-like allegory at the reality of large corporate offices and their working conditions, bringing to market a narratively interesting and layered title. Unfortunately, overly conservative choices on the game design side prevent the title from aiming for prestigious positions. But salaryman Jim doesn't know this and does it anyway.

Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? is a title that is too particular to appeal to everyone. We bet that even fans of this genre might frown upon it due to the structural foundations that allow the game to function, based on a "flawed" design that hinders the narrative flow, artificially forcing it. If you're looking to spend a different afternoon, especially considering the low price, you might give it a try, but remember that the design structure on which the entire experience rests could compromise the narrative progression, leading to unpleasant redundancies.

The Last of Us Part I is a remake of a masterpiece and he himself is no less. Sony's questionable stances regarding the economic and communication choices of this remake are not to be ignored, but net of that there is little to fault the title in terms of quantity and ludic quality.

9 / 10.0 - Cult of the Lamb
Aug 28, 2022

Cult of the Lamb is the most classic of bets won. The satire on religion envisioned by Massive Monster finds in the unlikely combination of roguelite and management an alchemical success. Sacrificing on the altar of game design some of the mechanics of both genres, the development team gives birth to a title simply not to be missed by all lovers of the video game media as well as an easy candidate for the best indie of the year award ... and who knows, maybe something more.

7.5 / 10.0 - Cursed to Golf
Aug 18, 2022

Cursed to Golf is yet another folly from the thriving independent production market. The unlikely combination of golf and roguelike gives rise to a crazy and fresh title, albeit one inclined to interesting tactics. As easy to imagine, the encounter between these two genres requires the audience to be calm and cool-headed in order to avoid getting sucked into the loop of Golf Purgatory. Arm yourself with a club and chamomile tea, the climb will be long and satisfying.

8 / 10.0 - Rollerdrome
Aug 16, 2022

Rollerdrome confirms Roll7's ability to create original products of undisputed quality. Mixing extreme sports with shooting, the development team offers a title that is as galvanizing as it is rewarding. A few minor flaws and a difficulty level that requires good manual dexterity might deter some of the user base. Everyone else can lace up their skates and get their guns ready-there is a championship to be won.

8.3 / 10.0 - Thymesia
Aug 16, 2022

Thymesia is a title worth trying. It is not a highly original production, but it will give all gamers a solid experience, thanks mainly to its play system and specifically to its combat system, the real highlight of the work. Too bad only for the paucity of content.

8.4 / 10.0 - Hell Pie
Jul 30, 2022

Proudly irreverent and satirical, Hell Pie is a pleasant surprise of this very hot summer. The Sluggerfly production makes a love letter to fans of old-school 3D platformers by offering a solid and entertaining title, despite some technical smears. Its humor doesn't make it for just anyone; for everyone else, it could be a devilishly exciting experience.

7.8 / 10.0 - Stray
Jul 23, 2022

Stray is a title we highly recommend to all gamers. The review score is, however, a weighted average between the excellent experience we had and the lack of depth in the gameplay mechanics, which we still attribute some weight to because we believe gameplay is the most important part of any video GAME.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a collection of two remasters that we highly recommend, for the originality and freshness of the gaming proposal. Paradoxical, we know, given the very concept of a remaster, but just like in fashion where the 'old becomes new,' even Klonoa can boast of having succeeded in this. Or not?

Playing Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course we were faced with a version elevated to the nth degree of the base game experience with an impressive amount of new features and stratospheric quality, especially considering its nature as additional content. In the current media, very often, not even sequels bring new content of this caliber. Let's not hide the fact, however, that we would have liked a few more levels, we would have liked more in short, nevertheless about ten sublime hours of gameplay gave us that, and that's okay, especially considering that it costs only €7.99. All in all, with Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course the guys at Studio MDHR have for the second time declared their love to our favorite media and especially to us gamers. Thanks for everything guys, we look forward to hearing more about your next project. Should it take so many years again, we will still be here waiting for you.

9 / 10.0 - Sifu
Jul 5, 2022

Sifu is a gem of the medium. The team at Sloclap has gifted us a game with a level of gameplay and visual refinement that hasn't been seen in years. It's not a game to play with your brain turned off, but it’s meticulously balanced, and with a bit of effort and patience, you could find yourself experiencing one of the most satisfying gaming experiences of recent years. In a gaming world now saturated with massive productions, works like Sifu—smaller in scope but so precise and refined—are now essential, both for the industry and especially for us gamers.

8.8 / 10.0 - F1 22
Jun 27, 2022

The new motorsport iteration from EA and Codemasters represents a marked evolution from the last two chapters in the series. The driving system has been revised to adapt to the new rules and although it may seem more complex to master at times, find the right measures, we guarantee it will give you enormous satisfaction. The career and stable modes, thanks to small but significant improvements, offer an incredible rate of challenge and fun that will keep the player glued to the screen for many, many hours. Embellishing the package even more are the PlayStation Home-style mode: F1 Life, which is more of a meeting place than anything else, Pirelli Hot Lap, time trials, Grand Prix and the online mode. In short, F1 22, is a content-rich title that will delight both Formula 1 fans and novices approaching the series for the first time.

7.3 / 10.0 - Kao the Kangaroo
May 27, 2022

Kao the Kangaroo manages to deliver a very enjoyable ten hours of gameplay, yet fails to make an impression. Perhaps the developers lacked a bit of resourcefulness, but given the limited budget for the development of the title, and the budget price at which it is sold, we feel we can say that it deserves a chance.

8.2 / 10.0 - WWE 2K22
Mar 22, 2022

WWE 2K22 represents the return of great wrestling. Skipping 2K21 and delaying the launch by as much as five months may have affected the roster (a bit skimpy due to the layoffs of several superstars), but the game works great, and is chock-full of content to choose from. An excellent Rey Mysterio Showcase further embellishes the experience, and every other mode (perhaps with the exception of MyFaction) lays a solid foundation for WWE games to come. There is still plenty of room for improvement, but if you are a wrestling fan, consider WWE 2K22 a must.

8.4 / 10.0 - Ghostwire: Tokyo
Mar 21, 2022

Ghostwire: Tokyo by Tango Gameworks is an incredibly intriguing title. The narrative plot is well-written and never feels cliché. Although the gameplay isn't the most original or inspired, it manages to convince. Akito's abilities, with the help of KK, are a lot of fun to use, especially as the player levels up. The only downside is the control system, which isn’t mapped very well and can be slightly confusing at times. In conclusion, although Ghostwire: Tokyo marks a drastic change in direction for Shinji Mikami and his team, thanks to a perfect balance of frantic action and horror exploration, it will satisfy both long-time fans of the Japanese producer and newcomers alike!

9.5 / 10.0 - Elden Ring
Mar 14, 2022

Elden Ring is the definitive (we would almost call it “glorious”) title from FromSoftware. With a refined combat system that encapsulates new ideas and an open world that is nothing short of perfect for exploration, Miyazaki's work sets a new benchmark for titles in this genre. Although the cross-gen nature is felt, Elden Ring is an essential title not to be missed; whether you are a Soulslike fan or not, we guarantee that Elden Ring will immerse you in sublime worlds from which you will never want to leave.

RÉPUBLIQUE is a fascinating game characterized by unique gameplay that works incredibly well, even years after its original launch. Although the story does not reach its climax, aided by a somewhat weak final act, it is narrated really well. Hopefully, after this Anniversary Edition, there will be plans for a new title in the franchise, or, at the very least, a revival of the stealth genre, perhaps never really understood.
