Dead Take is a short yet strikingly original experiment, weaving a disturbing story through a strong cast and inventive use of the medium, where atmosphere and writing outshine its technical flaws.

PATAPON 1+2 Replay establishes itself as an excellent return, capable of winning the hearts of gamers thanks to a skilful balance between modernity and respect for the original work, making the experience accessible and enjoyable for anyone who wants to approach it. Despite the sometimes challenging grinding and rather basic narrative, the development team's work in preserving the artistic identity and improving the technical and gameplay aspects is evident and appreciable. If you are ready to beat the pace and lead the Patapon to Fineterra, this is undoubtedly the perfect opportunity to do so.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition marks a welcome return for one of the most ambitious and talked-about CRPGs of the 2000s. While it still struggles to shake off some of the original game’s limitations — including problematic camera controls, clunky animations, and a less-than-ideal interface — the work done by Aspyr Media is nonetheless commendable. The remaster delivers improved stability, compatibility with modern systems, a generally smoother experience, and, most importantly, a clear respect for the modding community — a key element behind the enduring love many have for NWN2.

''Back to the Dawn'' is a deep and surprising prison RPG that blends mature storytelling, social simulation, and strategy. Beneath its pixel-art graphics lies a tough, never-relaxing experience where every choice truly matters. The story is the beating heart of the game: two campaigns (one still on the way), eight endings, and complex moral choices make each playthrough unique. The gameplay rewards planning, focus, and precision, with solid RPG mechanics and a coherent, living world. The combat system is minimal but functional, reflecting its secondary role. Perhaps the only real flaw in an otherwise memorable experience is the difficulty, which can be intimidating and frustrating. It's not a game for everyone, but those seeking challenge and narrative depth will find it genuinely worthwhile.

Completely Stretchy presents itself as an interesting attempt to offer a purely demented gaming experience, a refuge from the complexity we often seek in increasingly difficult titles. Its artwork and surreal aesthetics manage to hit the mark, drawing a crazy world that all in all attracts. The idea behind the gameplay, with elastic arms as its fulcrum, is undoubtedly intriguing, capable of providing flashes of genuine, light-hearted fun at times. However, the potential of this experiment is unfortunately stifled by significant technical and gameplay issues. Precarious optimisation and often imprecise controls turn originality into frustration, making it difficult to fully appreciate the rare moments when the mechanics work in harmony.

ANTRO proves to be a work of great value and ambition from the Catalan studio. A title that in its duration manages to communicate a powerful message: to transform music from a simple accompaniment to the beating heart of gameplay and narrative. Despite the evident passion of the developers, the title sometimes sins on the precision of the controls, which risks undermining the rhythmic flow. ANTRO remains an experience worth trying for those looking for a narrative adventure capable of leaving something behind, where art always finds a way of making itself felt.

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is a re-release that could have limited itself to offering technical and QoL improvements and would have done a far better job, but unfortunately it overreaches with around 25 minutes of new content. It quickly becomes evident that these additions can’t match the brilliance of the original, and in some cases even undermine key moments, particularly for newcomers experiencing the game for the first time.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild remains a revolutionary masterpiece to this day, still capable of astonishing with its bold ideas and the ambition of its open world, now shining even brighter thanks to a Switch 2 edition that finally gives it the technical polish it deserves.

Dragon Is Dead establishes itself as a 2D action roguelite with tremendous potential and undeniable charm, especially for those who appreciate fast-paced gameplay and a deep progression system. TeamSuneat wears its influences proudly, skillfully blending mechanics and atmospheres reminiscent of genre-defining classics to create an experience that’s both highly enjoyable and addictive. While the linearity of the level design may be a notable weakness, the sheer variety of build combinations and the fluidity of combat more than make up for it, ensuring that every run is a genuine pleasure. "Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo" truly shines as a unique gem with a personality all its own. It's a heartfelt and intelligent homage to the great classics of the past, blending irreverent characters, biting social commentary, and gameplay that's a cross between a Zelda-like and a Metroidvania. With a simple but brilliant idea like the yoyo, Pocket Trap has crafted an experience that entertains, surprises, and leaves a lasting impression, proving that innovation can spring from a deep love for the medium's roots.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time represents an excellent revival for a series that only few expected to see again, but which absolutely deserves to be discovered by more players who will finally be able to get to know and learn to love this world just like many of us did with the original title. The amount of content and the variety of gameplay offered is nothing short of exorbitant, but the general impression is that Level-5 has opted for an approach based on quantity over quality, giving the idea of a diluted experience where everything is well done but nothing excels and is limited to giving a constant more of the same. We would have appreciated a greater focus on what already are the strong points of the title, such as the introduction of new lives or greater depth in the activities already implemented. However, despite some questionable choices and technical problems that still have to be solved, Fantasy Life i confirms itself as an unmissable title for all lovers of cozy RPGs characterized by a slow pace as well as a great emphasis on farming and building a base.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S confirms itself as a solid experience, capable of entertaining both Puyo Puyo and Tetris fans thanks to a wide variety of game modes. However, the new content of this re-release for Nintendo Switch 2 is too scarce to convince those who have already played any of the previous chapters, especially the second, to repurchase the title. The Adventure mode is neglectable, while additions such as the duo mode and the gameshare represent interesting but not revolutionary ideas. That said, if you are new to the series, this version is without a doubt the most complete currently available on the market, ready to give you many hours of pure fun.

Nightreign ambitiously expands on Elden Ring's themes and structure, with standout moments and a fresh take on co-op play. Some design choices and balancing issues hold it back, but it remains a meaningful experiment that sets the stage for the studio’s future.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is, overall, a missed opportunity. An interesting video game experiment that offers original and often surprising content, but fails to keep the player's interest alive beyond short gaming sessions with minigames and quizzes that are certainly well-made, fun and also interesting, but not varied or deep enough. It still is a title that deserves at least a try: the idea behind it is interesting and manages to enhance the user experience, offering an engaging look at the hardware and features of the console.

Although it doesn't reach the production values or length of *Dave the Diver*, *Nice Day for Fishing* is a delightful little gaming interlude that doesn’t need to revolutionize the genre to leave its mark. Short, nostalgic, fun, and lovingly crafted, it’s a perfect gift for longtime Viva La Dirt League fans and a great entry point for newcomers. If you're looking for a relaxing, light-hearted, surreal, and heartfelt experience — perhaps to enjoy during your beach vacation — then this is definitely your lucky day for fishing.

Doom: The Dark Ages boldly redefines the series while staying true to its roots. With a slower pace, revamped combat, and stronger narrative focus, it delivers a visceral experience—flawed, but memorable. A brutal, modern throwback that stands out in today’s industry.

Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade proves to be a missed opportunity. The inspiration from Hades is palpable, but suffocating repetition and a banal plot, filled with bland characters and predictable dialogue, undermine its potential. The lack of arena variety, linear progression, and an ever-same final boss make the experience too monotonous and predictable, tending to fizzle out after a few hours.
