On paper, Voidwrought is an excellent Metroidvania that we particularly recommend to fans of the genre, offering fluid and enjoyable gameplay mechanics. However, the title ultimately delivers what can only be described as a 'homework assignment.' While exploration is undoubtedly the game's strong suit, its combat system, while theoretically sound, suffers from some execution issues, quickly becoming repetitive and mundane due to the game's overall lack of challenge. Fortunately, this somewhat precarious structure is supported by an impeccable art direction that leaves a lasting impression on the player.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead has the task of transporting the terror proposed by the famous film series into a videogame experience. Although the title has some elements of repetitiveness and technical problems, the game manages to maintain an eerie atmosphere and utilises sound design to best engage the viewer.

Unfortunately, Awaken: Astral Blade is a rather mediocre title, lacking narrative punch and creative inspiration. It suffers from structural oversights in game design, alongside numerous minor issues that are hard to overlook, especially given the high standards set by the genre. That said, it’s not a total failure—its unique combo mechanics and smooth controls make for an exciting, spectacular combat system.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is a delightful surprise, reviving a series that, after a somewhat rocky journey on Nintendo Switch, finally shines once more. Clock Tower undoubtedly deserves its place among the legends of video games, and we highly recommend that anyone even vaguely interested experience this old gem firsthand. While the port could have perhaps offered more after so many years since the initial release, when an artistic direction and gameplay concept are flawless, it's hard to improve without compromising the original. Rewind now provides the first official way to get lost in the corridors of the Barrows mansion.

Thank Goodness You're Here is a unique title, able to bring the essence of satirical cartoons to the screen, pairing it with a skilled and irreverent dissection of English society. Despite its short length and uncertainties around replayability, its undeniable strengths make it a comedic experience not to be missed.

Shadow of the Damned is a rough diamond, with its raw edges adding to its charm. While more could have been done to modernize the experience, this is still the best way to enjoy Garcia's wild adventure. Those who own the original have little reason to revisit this reissue, but for newcomers exploring these infernal streets, it's highly recommended.

Europa is a title that stands out for its visually relaxing approach, managing to create an atmosphere reminiscent of the best works of Studio Ghibli. Its light and accessible gameplay, coupled with a thoughtful narrative, makes it perfect for those seeking a contemplative and pressure-free experience. Europa is a journey of exploration that enchants, but may not completely satisfy those who want something innovative and non-derivative.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is far from a perfect game, yet that hardly matters when we’re holding what truly feels like a dream come true. This title is a celebration of the saga, with refined gameplay that will captivate both veterans and newcomers alike. Despite its flaws, the dedication of the development team is clear, delivering everything fans could have wished for—and perhaps even more.

Until Dawn (2024) struggles to honor the original game despite its graphical upgrades and new features. Technical issues detract from the experience, raising questions about the necessity of a remake for a PS4 native game priced at €70. While the original owners may not find it worthwhile, newcomers—especially PC players—might appreciate this chance to explore its strong narrative and horror atmosphere.

Kill Knight stands out as a tribute to late-millennium games, delivering intense and engaging gameplay enhanced by a distinctive visual style and a dark-retro atmosphere. Although the narrative elements are less developed than the initial premise suggests, the real substance lies in the frenetic action and the relentless pursuit of a new high score.

It's tough to beat a classic like Gothic, but DROVA - Forsaken Kin gives it a real shot. This RPG is a deep dive into Celtic mythology, packed with quests and a story that'll keep you hooked. It's perfect for anyone who loves old-school RPGs and wants a challenging adventure. That said, the combat can feel a bit repetitive after a while, and it might be too tough for some. But overall, it's a great game that fans of the genre should definitely check out.

Grunn is a small yet charming adventure, perfect for unwinding after a stressful day, but don’t be fooled: the numerous dark secrets hidden within this town will captivate you, urging you to complete the game in a single sitting. The blend of classic 'gardener simulator' style with an atmosphere far more unsettling than it initially appears creates a unique experience that we highly recommend.

Iron Meat is a classic run-and-gun that doesn't want to innovate, but simply proposes the best that the genre has to offer, adding a grotesque and ultra-violent design carefully crafted. A great old school pastime that will keep you busy for several hours, depending on how many achievements and characters you intend to unlock and how good you intend to become at playing it.
