Age of Mythology: Retold takes a long-running, fun, and immediate real-time strategy game and projects it into 2024 with a series of essential, well-crafted innovations and obsessive attention to balance. Some graphical flaws may turn up your nose, and we would have expected some additional narrative content at launch, but these are minor flaws compared to the overall quality of the work.

8.8 / 10.0 - WitchSpring R
Sep 14, 2024

Witchspring R is a title that offers a wealth of narrative and gameplay satisfaction. A well-crafted story and well-developed characters are paired with gameplay that, while simple and relaxing, never feels overly repetitive or boring. Despite a rather "heavy" ending and the inability to skip dialogues (even in NG+), this game remains an excellent option for anyone who loves the JRPG genre or seeks a relaxing adventure experience.

6.6 / 10.0 - Akimbot
Sep 12, 2024

Akimbot attempts to bring some nostalgia back to the modern gaming market, but fails to hit the mark with a plot that leaves no impact and easily forgettable protagonists. Although the game is partly saved by well-implemented platforming and shooting mechanics, unfortunately what it leaves the player with is only a sense of disappointment.

Emio - The Smiling Man is an outstanding investigative adventure that expands and enhances all the positive aspects of the Famicom Detective Club series, delivering one of the most mature and profound narratives that the expansive Nintendo catalog sorely needed. Despite some pacing issues and a gameplay system that, while significantly improved, still feels somewhat rigid, we wholeheartedly recommend this must-play title to all fans of the genre.

7.7 / 10.0 - Caravan SandWitch

5.7 / 10.0 - Concord
Sep 2, 2024

Despite abundant resources and time at its disposal, Concord still ends up being a product with various shortcomings across multiple aspects, from gameplay to technical execution. A promising narrative premise and satisfying character progression are unfortunately overshadowed by gameplay that fails to introduce anything new and by a bland, tacky character design, highlighting how the game seems stuck halfway in its attempt to become a solid hero shooter.

FNAF: Into the Pit is far from perfect, featuring frustrating minigames, unpredictable AI, and various technical issues. However, it manages to steer a stagnant series in a new, exciting direction. With an engaging narrative, excellent pixel art, and evolved gameplay, the title offers a refreshing experience for longtime fans and a compelling way for newcomers to engage with the brand.

7.2 / 10.0 - Creatures of Ava
Aug 16, 2024

Creatures of Ava succeeds in proving to be a unique title of its kind, offering interesting insights into the themes addressed and laying a solid foundation for the evolution of a non-violent approach in gameplay. The game world is original and well realised, making the project worthy of attention. However, the title is not without flaws, especially in terms of longevity, due to the repetitiveness of some mechanics, although well conceived. We still recommend keeping an eye on it, especially if you are curious to experience it for yourself.
