For low price and they fact all proceeds go to children's charity, you're getting one hell of a deal and supporting a great cause.

Playing ATTILA has taught me that this is a series that has a lot going for it. The scale of the battles, the depth of the seemingly innumerable mechanics all point to well-crafted title, but if I were to never play a Total War game again, I'd be perfectly fine with that.

In the grand scheme of things, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is still very much a Monster Hunter game. What makes it stand out are the tweaks to progression. It really is the most accessible game in the series.

8.5 / 10.0 - Evolve
Feb 17, 2015

Evolve accomplished what it set out to do, and I am having a blast learning all the concepts it delivers. As long as I have friends to play with, it will continue to be in my rotation of games to play. My only concern is fatigue setting in with some players, and the base dwindling. This will kill the game, as playing solo is simply not the route to go.

For those who loved the original like me, happiness awaits. After years of petitioning we have our Majora's Mask remake, and it's absolutely worth the time.

6.5 / 10.0 - Blackguards 2
Feb 12, 2015

Blackguards 2 is not a perfect game and, unfortunately, not the reinvention of its predecessor it could have been. However, the game does ultimately reward a little (well, a lot of) patience, developing into a relatively enjoyable campaign once the player has progressed past the early stages.

Fans of the Telltale adventure games and people looking for something unique in terms of storytelling and mechanics should really give Life is Strange a shot. It sets up a decent premise and keeps the player invested for the 3 hour duration of the episode. I for one enjoyed what I played, even when the dialog became "too hip" for me. I say give it a shot. It most certainly is something very different.

I want to recommend it, but the technical issues not only hampered my enjoyment of the game, at a certain point they completely prevented me from playing it. The core game is fun, but I would recommend sticking with one platform throughout and rotating save slots.

6 / 10.0 - The Escapists
Feb 9, 2015

Perhaps a bigger emphasis on characters or story could even go a long way to give players the incentive to continue or get more involved. It's very possible the game simply isn't for me, and this will become a niche title. But in my eyes, this is one prison I will simply not be returning to.

[F]or fans of the genre who love beating down countless enemies as cute anime girls and don't shy away from a serious challenge, they can expect to have a good time with Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds.

8.5 / 10.0 - Deathtrap

It may get difficult, but partying up with some friends and leveling up can combat that. For 20 bucks, you really can't go wrong with Deathtrap. I highly recommend it.

9 / 10.0 - Dying Light
Feb 4, 2015

I could go on further about all the reasons why I love Dying Light, but I'll leave you on this note. I can say, without a doubt in my mind, Dying Light is one of the best zombie games ever made.

Unmechanical took me by surprise. Sure, we've all seen 2.5D puzzle games before, but this one really did a great job with the variety of the puzzles while keeping the main game simplistic enough to never keep me guessing for too long. The pacing is fantastic and the visual style is superb. While it may be on the short side, I still highly recommend picking up Unmechanical Extended. Like me, you may have a really fun time with it.

6 / 10.0 - Riptide GP2

Riptide GP2 carries a lot of what I loved about classic arcade racing games, but also a lot of what I hate about mobile games.

However, for those who haven’t, it’s a solid title jam packed with content, and while the characters and humor will be very much a point of contention, it’s worth checking out all the same if you’re into JRPGs.

For those never venturing into Saints Row IV this is a must-buy, and for those that did, Gat Out of Hell is a solid expansion that should satiate the hunger for the inevitable Saints Row V we all hope is coming sooner rather than later.

Still considered one of the best (if not THE best in the series) REmake still holds up today as a trendsetter in the gaming world. Every other title wanted to be it, but none ever quite nailed the formula the way this Gamecube remake does. Definitely recommended for fans of the genre, as this is the pinnacle of what Shinji Mikami created all those years ago.

Citizens of Earth can be looked at as a love letter and an inspiration to roleplaying games of the past. It's unique enough in its core premise and gameplay additions that I can't see many long time RPG fans not highly enjoying this. If you're looking for a title with both style and substance and a hint of nostalgia, Citizens of Earth is your next RPG purchase. I had a smile on my face every time I played this.

6 / 10.0 - Tetris Ultimate
Jan 15, 2015

Tetris hasn't changed much over the years, but it is always a sign that a generation has started when an iteration finally lands on that console. XB1 and PS4 owners finally have the classic puzzle game on their platforms, albeit with a lack of explanation on new features, and some online lag. Still this is Tetris, and those looking for that experience will not be disappointed.

10 / 10.0 - #IDARB
Jan 14, 2015

I highly recommend #IDARB, and this comes from someone that doesn't play sports games, yet I knew the moment I yelled at my TV during a slow motion instant replay victory, this was special. #IDARB will be a social favorite for years to come.
