Star Wars: Galactic Racer combines precise arcade handling, distinct vehicle classes, and meaningful customization with a campaign built around risk, repetition, and gradual mastery. Track hazards, aggressive collisions, and the Ramjet system keep races tense, while the different vehicle types significantly change how each course is approached. The roguelite structure can become punishing, especially when unclear track design or abrupt difficulty spikes end a long run, and the lack of split-screen is a notable omission. Even so, its speed, mechanical depth, and strong audiovisual presentation give it a distinct identity among Star Wars racing games.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve makes the seven-year wait worthwhile with intense aerial combat, accessible controls, and a diverse range of missions. Piloting both fighter jets and support aircraft adds variety to the gameplay, while the sense of speed and thrilling aerial engagements create an immersive experience. With a cinematic campaign reminiscent of Top Gun, memorable characters, and well-crafted action sequences, the game offers a compelling and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

80 / 100 - Dune: Awakening
Sep 22, 2026

Dune: Awakening stands out for its depiction of Arrakis, its sense of progression, and the freedom offered by the new single-player mode. Exploration and base building work well, while the improvements made since the PC launch make the experience more accessible and less punishing. Combat lacks variety, however, and the constant need for gathering and crafting can disrupt the pacing. Even so, it is a convincing adaptation of the Dune universe and a well-structured survival experience on PS5.

Silent Hill: Townfall successfully adapts the series to a first-person perspective, with strong environmental design, oppressive sound work, intricate puzzles, and a greater emphasis on stealth and limited resources. The CRTV mechanic gives exploration and puzzle-solving a distinct identity, while St. Amelia provides a convincing new setting for the franchise. Inconsistent enemy behavior, limited creature variety, and overly obscure puzzles can create frustration, but the game remains a technically confident and atmospheric interpretation of Silent Hill.

91 / 100 - Control Resonant
Sep 18, 2026

Control Resonant is the natural, and very welcome, sequel to the experience that captivated the world seven years ago. More artistic. Bolder. More complete. And much, much more challenging.

88 / 100 - EA Sports FC 27
Sep 18, 2026

EA Sports FC 27 offers one of the series’ most complete experiences, with more content, improvements to Career Mode, new features in Ultimate Team, and the debut of The Grounds. Attacking gameplay feels more fluid and rewarding, but heavily manual defending and inconsistencies in the AI still affect the overall balance. It is a meaningful step forward for the franchise, even if some areas still require refinement over the course of the season.

83 / 100 - NBA 2K27
Sep 15, 2026

NBA 2K27 improves the on-court experience with more consistent defense, greater offensive variety, and more physical gameplay that rewards precision and player skill. MyCareer Eras is a welcome addition, while MyNBA remains one of the most complete franchise modes in the genre. However, aggressive monetization, excessive grind, and overly familiar systems continue to hold back an experience that, purely as a basketball game, ranks among the series’ best in recent years.

Sometimes, all you need is a few hours of pure action, characters you care about, a healthy dose of violence, and a protagonist with adamantium claws tearing through everything in his path. Marvel’s Wolverine delivers exactly that, with confidence, personality, and the level of quality you’d expect from Insomniac Games.

EA Sports College Football 27 refines the series with improved gameplay, smarter defensive systems, and a deeper Dynasty mode. Its strong atmosphere and on-field improvements make it one of the best American football games available, although aggressive monetization, underdeveloped off-field systems, and the first signs of annual-series fatigue keep the overall experience from being as consistent as its gameplay.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword marks the triumphant return of Capcom’s classic franchise. With fluid, beautifully choreographed combat, charismatic characters, creative bosses, and spectacular art direction, the game modernizes the series without losing its essence. Its low difficulty and less-inspired side content are minor flaws in an otherwise exceptional adventure.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is a compelling action RPG with solid directional combat, engaging time management, and an intriguing duality between human and vampire abilities. Repetitive activities and technical issues hold it back, but Rebel Wolves delivers a promising and enjoyable debut.

Beast of Reincarnation delivers a compelling action-adventure driven by an intriguing narrative, responsive combat, and a rewarding exploration system that consistently encourages players to venture off the beaten path. Character progression is tightly woven into exploration, while the game's atmosphere reinforces the mystery surrounding Emma's journey alongside her companion, Ko. Although it suffers from limited enemy variety, underwhelming boss encounters, and a handful of technical issues, Game Freak successfully establishes a new IP with a distinct identity and plenty of room to grow.

85 / 100 - Denshattack!
Jul 15, 2026

Denshattack! transforms an unlikely concept, performing skateboard tricks with high-speed trains, into one of the year's most inventive indie experiences. Its satisfying trick system, varied boss encounters, stylish presentation, vibrant visuals, and excellent soundtrack create a gameplay loop that remains consistently engaging, while more than 50 stages and numerous optional objectives provide strong replay value. The story, however, relies on familiar battle shonen tropes and forgettable characters, serving mostly as a backdrop for the action. Despite its narrative shortcomings, Denshattack! delivers an original and addictive gameplay experience that stands out through creativity and execution.

The red "X" marked the spot. And for Ubisoft, it was a treasure that turned out to be real. After years of navigating rough seas, the company has finally found solid ground, bringing Edward Kenway's legendary adventure back in great fashion. It's fair to say that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is everything fans were hoping for.

The Boys: Trigger Warning successfully captures the spirit of the series while delivering an immersive and entertaining VR experience. Creative superpowers, satisfying combat, and strong use of the PlayStation VR2 make it a compelling adventure. Although graphical limitations, technical issues, and uneven boss fights prevent it from reaching its full potential, it remains a fun and worthwhile experience for both fans of The Boys and VR newcomers.

70 / 100 - Copa City
Jun 27, 2026

Copa City moves the action off the pitch and into the behind-the-scenes world of football, delivering one of the most original concepts in the genre. Managing the entire infrastructure of a major sporting event is both engaging and rewarding, thanks to its solid management systems and immersive atmosphere. However, a confusing interface, insufficient tutorials, and a steep learning curve prevent its excellent concept from reaching its full potential. Even so, it's a creative experience that simulation fans should keep on their radar.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales captures the charm of classic PS2-era action RPGs with engaging real-time combat, rewarding character progression, and a stunning HD-2D presentation. While its slow-paced opening and repetitive environments can affect the overall pacing, the game shines through its flexible customization systems, memorable soundtrack, and charming cast, delivering a fun and heartfelt adventure from start to finish.

80 / 100 - EA Sports UFC 6
Jun 15, 2026

EA Sports UFC 6 delivers excellent presentation, plenty of content, and the strongest UFC package EA has produced so far. Its new arcade-inspired mechanics won't please everyone, but solid combat, authentic atmosphere, and meaningful UFC integration make it an easy recommendation for MMA fans.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection refines the series with deeper turn-based combat, stronger storytelling and rewarding exploration.
