Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion isn’t the perfect mech game, but it offers plenty of good stuff for anyone craving robots on their Switch 2. The action and gameplay loop are interesting enough to sink your teeth into, and the open world—as visually uneven as it may be—shows that this sequel has more ambition than its predecessor. So Titanic Scion is all about making compromises: it’s not the absolute best in the genre, but anyone who loves mechs, loot, and customization will likely enjoy it. Do you have a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, or PC at home in addition to a Switch 2? Then playing the game on those platforms is probably the better choice.

Despite improved gameplay and numerous feedback-inspired enhancements, EA Sports FC 26 is, in my opinion, the biggest flop in years. The improved gameplay is only noticeable in Authentic Gameplay, which you can only use in offline game modes or during online friendly matches. Competitive Gameplay is a joke and makes Ultimate Team the worst version ever. Never before has a soccer game felt so much like an arcade game where realism is nowhere to be found. The biggest disappointment for me is the false promise of a revamped career mode. The Live Manager career mode is simply the Original career mode hidden behind a tab with objectives and conditions. After Call of Duty, EA Sports FC is the next franchise I’m leaving behind for good. After all, its heyday is long gone.

After playing for just under five hours, Little Nightmares 3 left me feeling a bit lost and disappointed. For some reason, the new direction taken by Supermassive just doesn’t resonate with me. The addition of co-op is a bold attempt to breathe new life into the series, but it doesn’t quite work out in the end. The game looks absolutely stunning, but when you play it alone with the AI, it loses a lot of its charm. Fans of the series will likely get swept up in the nightmare once again. Those who, like me, were hoping for an experience as powerful and intimate as in the first two games will probably be left wanting more.

Formula Legends looks fun and manages to charm with its well-conceived ideas, but unfortunately falls short in its execution.

Team Cherry spent a full eight years working on Hollow Knight: Silksong. You can see that in every aspect of this game. It’s a game that radiates passion from the very first minute. Hollow Knight was already a fantastic game, and they’ve refined various aspects of the sequel. It can feel merciless at times, but for me, it’s still addictive. You know going in that you’ll get frustrated and will undoubtedly curse. But those moments when you finally, after so many attempts, take down that boss: that feeling is priceless. And then you know: this is why we game.

It may not be the most revolutionary title on the market, but Chip’n Clawz vs. The Brainioids is a game that knows exactly what it wants to be: pure, unadulterated fun. The charming graphics, humorous dialogue, and atmosphere create the perfect blend. Although the strategic aspect isn’t as strong and the game sometimes feels a bit too easy, I had a great time playing it. There are plenty of collectibles to keep you busy, and with numerous updates on the way, you’re sure to have a few hours of fun. In short: a game that pleasantly surprised me.

10 / 10 - Ghost of Yotei
Sep 25, 2025

I can’t help but conclude this review by saying that *Ghost of Yōtei* has turned out to be a masterfully compelling adventure. Atsu’s story had me hooked from the very beginning and didn’t let go until 30 hours later, when the credits rolled across my screen. It’s like coming home to a warm bath that’s been renovated in the meantime. The combat is much more fun thanks to the variety of weapons, the world actually looks even more beautiful, and it truly invites you to get lost in it. Let me conclude with these wise words: Go and play this game. You won’t regret it!

The Ivalice Chronicles was a great game in 1998, and it still is. Square Enix is a true master at crafting worlds and characters that remain relevant 30 years after their creation. But Final Fantasy Tactics is also a product of its time. It’s a game that feels outdated—and it is. And let’s be honest, it no longer belongs among the vast array of available games. I therefore predict that it will struggle to find an audience. But for those who need their classic JRPG fix, FFT:TIC is definitely the way to go!

Towa and The Guardians of The Sacred Tree is an enjoyable roguelite that’s perfect for a quick run whenever you have a spare moment. The mechanics of collecting items and facing challenges during a Journey are a double dose of dopamine. The gradual progression and variety of characters open the door to plenty of content and replayability. A great roguelite that sets itself apart from others in the genre by switching between your two swords and the Tsurugi/Kagura feature.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World on the Nintendo Switch 2 is no revolution. But it is a loving reissue with a tasty helping of new content. The technical improvements make the colourful world look even better, as it should have done three years ago.

The Knightling has the potential to be a fantastic indie game, but it's like a knight without a helmet: the basics are there, but without the essential elements it's hopeless. Add to that a mediocre combat system that is not at all challenging, framedrops and a lifeless world, and you have a mediocre indie game that is full of potential. This is a real shame, especially since you can tell from the outset that this game just doesn't quite make it. Developer Twirlbound has already fallen short with their first game, Pine, which was far too ambitious. Hopefully they will use the basis of The Knightling to create a world worthy of the name of knight in a future, third game. Third time lucky, Twirlbound!

9 / 10 - Borderlands 4
Sep 16, 2025

Borderlands 4 delivers everything the previous games in this franchise had to offer. But this one takes it up a notch. Thanks in part to some handy new features, (almost) no loading times and incredibly fun gameplay, the game guarantees hours of enjoyment. Top all that off with a dash of excellent humour and you’ll immediately see why I gave this looter shooter a nine. The autumn season, which is treating us to a shitload of brilliant games, has certainly got off to a flying start with Borderlands 4.

Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition runs surprisingly smoothly and fluidly on the Nintendo Switch 2. You get access to a wealth of content, plus the added benefits of the Switch 2’s touch controls and motion controls. With a stable frame rate, visually stunning graphics and an atmosphere that’s quintessentially Star Wars, Switch 2 players will be happily immersed in a Galaxy Far, Far Away for hours on end.

Lost Soul Aside is a game with stunning visuals and a promising combat system, but it’s nothing more than that. The game suffers from repetitive gameplay, predictable boss battles and a mediocre story. The stunning locations and varied skills cannot hide the fact that the game is a missed opportunity. Lost Soul Aside plays it too safe and consequently delivers a game that looks beautiful but has too little to offer. Fans of hack-and-slash games may enjoy it for a few hours, but it is not a title that will go down in history.

It is clear that Polish developer Bloober Team continues to focus on terrifying horror games, and with Cronos: The New Dawn, they have once again produced a title that will appeal to many fans of the genre. However, the video game is far from perfect. Most of the inspiration clearly comes from the original Resident Evil games, mixed with some elements from Dead Space. However, striking the right balance between difficulty and progression proves to be a tough task. The story and its characters aren’t much to write home about either. Where Cronos does excel, though, is in world-building. The post-apocalyptic Poland of the 1980s looks phenomenal. Add to that the fact that the game doesn’t let you catch your breath for a second and is genuinely terrifying, and you get a third-person survival horror game that may not measure up to the absolute best in the genre but does guarantee a good twenty hours of shivers.

7 / 10 - Metal Eden
Sep 2, 2025

I enjoyed Metal Eden because of all the shooting and how smoothly I could play through each level. However, the game lacks that little bit extra needed to establish its own distinct identity. In other words, it tries too hard to copy other greats in the genre.

6 / 10 - Hell Is Us
Sep 1, 2025

Hell is Us could have been a very good game, had the combat been properly developed. It’s all too basic, with too little variety in the enemies and not even any bosses. Despite all that, I did manage to enjoy myself in Hadea, particularly the exploration of the various locations. The puzzle-solving is also well-designed. Still, I had hoped it would be a bit more challenging. Though this may just be down to me and my own expectations.

With Echoes of the End, Myrkur Games is aiming to create a game that can compete with God of War: Ragnarok and the Uncharted games. That’s a noble ambition, but frankly impossible. What remains is a generic game that isn’t particularly bad in itself, but which will never really win you over. The world of Aema looks impressive but lacks refinement in every respect. It’s the River Cola of colas, and whilst that’s enough to quench your thirst, it doesn’t quite have the same flavour as the one and only Coca-Cola. The developers clearly had sky-high ambitions but fail to live up to expectations. Those who enjoy games such as Banishers: Ghost of New Eden or Avowed will have a good time with Echoes of the End.

Despite the various drawbacks, Nintendo has once again demonstrated that it knows how to make a good party game. They have managed to enhance the classic formula with modern technology without losing its essence. For Mario Party fans who own a Nintendo Switch 2 and a camera, this is a worthwhile upgrade. They should definitely snap up Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV!

Hellblade 2 is undoubtedly a technological masterpiece. The breathtaking visuals and the unique, immersive sound design create an atmosphere that you rarely encounter in games. The characters are convincing and leave a lasting impression. However, the experience is undermined by a story that fails to hold the player’s interest, as well as by the repetitive combat and overly simplistic puzzles in this 10-hour game. Despite its strengths, the gameplay is too superficial to live up to the high expectations. The game is certainly a beautiful film to watch, but a less engaging experience to play.
