Pac-Man Championship Edition II is a really fun game. It changes up the formula enough to keep things feeling fresh, its look and feel is fantastic, and the overall package will keep fans playing for hours on end. It really is a sequel worth the Pac-Man name, and I for one absolutely love it. I think many of you will as well, and I highly suggest giving it a shot.

Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet has something going for it and it is honestly something I had never seen before, but the way it plays mixed with a confusing tutorial that doesn’t explain things in the best way it could really make this game feel like I’m slogging through an interesting game while in the dark.

At the end of the day, it’s Resident Evil 4. Everyone knows of it, most have played it, and it all really boils down to if you really want it yet again. To be fair, this is pretty much the same game that was released back in 2011 on the 360 and PS3. If you own that version of the game, you own this one, just not on the PS4 or Xbox One. If you don’t have that one, or have never played RE4 before, #1 where have you been the past decade?

9 / 10.0 - Hue

I have to give it to Fiddlesticks Games. They have made a tight playing platformer with some pretty good puzzles using one simple mechanic. While most puzzles never had me stuck, they most certainly had me scratching my head a few times.

All in all, I enjoyed my time with Breach and Clear: Deadline. The combination of both real time movement and turn-based combat really made things fun and interesting, even if the game pulled an XCOM and had me miss when I really shouldn’t have, and while this is a game that feels like it should be played with a mouse and keyboard, it works really well with a controller.

7.5 / 10.0 - Headlander
Aug 11, 2016

Headlander has a few faults, but when getting into a flow of this style of game, it turns out to be a pretty well made Metroidvania game. Filling out the map is addicting, and seeing a room I can’t enter without having a certain body usually always had me backtracking to see what exactly was in it.

MX Vs. ATV Supercross: Encore is not a very well done game. While it has a few redeeming qualities, the actual racing and controls (the part of the game that really matters) is just far too inconsistent and just not that fun to play. Along with the bland presentation you have a mediocre game that doesn't play as well as it should. It's sad to see because I can remember a time when the series was highly praised, and it wasn't that long ago. Unfortunately, now is not that time. I'd say skip this one, or at the very least, wait for a significant price drop.

With the reuse of multiple locales and enemy monsters, I was hoping for a bit more variety in this game, but in the end, it still all adds up to a really enjoyable time for both veterans as well as newcomers.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII is most certainly not for everyone. I was thinking it wasn’t going to be for me either, but after making a conscience decision to actually learn how to play the game, I found myself having a rather enjoyable time. Granted, there are a fair share of issues with the controls and frame rate, but all in all, I think strategy fans can get a lot of enjoyment out of this newest entry in the long running franchise, but keep in mind, you’re going to need a lot of patience to play this one.

5.5 / 10.0 - Soul Axiom

Soul Axiom has some really interesting parts, but its whole is still something left to be desired.

The action is something that I enjoyed far more than a Warriors game, and the combo system was both fun to execute as well as flashy enough to enjoy watching unfold. The controls help matters with its fluid style and tight movement. Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus is a game that is difficult to recommend to people due to its content, but if you’re not fazed by that, you’re going to get a fun action game that rivals them all. If only they had a version of this game that didn’t feature jiggly breasts and constant unclothing schoolgirls.

It’s not going to blow anyone’s socks off, but for a TMNT fan, this beat ‘em up is still a decent time when partnering up.

9 / 10.0 - Downwell

It's not a game you play hours on end, but definitely something that can be enjoyed for small chunks in between games, and for that cheap price, it fits right in with the entire rougelike nature of the game. It's a small, fun, and easy addiction that many will really enjoy all for a cheap price.

Players looking for something that harkens back to the old days can find some good fun here in GunWorld 2. It doesn’t have it all, but there’s enough here for a decent time.

5.5 / 10.0 - Party Hard

The overall presentation is well done too. It has the trappings of a fun, ridiculous game, but in the end, the game play is far too difficult and far too unforgiving for most people.

8 / 10.0 - Battleborn
May 11, 2016

All in all, I'd say Battleborn is a very well made game. The gameplay is fun and actually well thought out, and the characters all bring something different to the table. The story mode can be hit or miss, but the competitive side of things is really where the game shines in its strategy and game play.

6 / 10.0 - Rogue Stormers
May 6, 2016

Rogue Stormers isn’t going to blow your socks off by any means, but there is still some fun to be had, once you level up your characters and start experimenting with the sub-weapons. Add in a couple of friends to play with and you’re in for a decent time for at least a few hours. The grind may eventually get to you, but along the way, there can be some fun in there.

For the Sega fans looking for some games to take on the go that even look pretty decent in 3D, this collection has something for everyone, although the price point may be a bit too steep when some games are short lived.
