ZEN Pinball fans should get this pack immediately, and Alien fans will enjoy the content that is here. These are some really well made pinball tables wrapped around one of the best horror/sci-fi franchises ever created.
Stories is a game that has a lot of heart. Sure, there are plenty of things in this game that I have seen before in some form or fashion, but it never stopped me from having a fantastic time with it. The look and stories that are told are fun and exciting to see play out, and the combat works just as well as the caped crusader's adventures.
MLB: The Show 16 is one of the best baseball games I have ever played.
While still not my favorite in the series, it’s still a fun action game, especially with a buddy going through it with you. Also, for 20 bucks, you’re getting a giant package. A full 25-30 hour campaign, tons of multiplayer modes, and a really solid looking action horror game. The Resident Evil fans should really pick this up even if it isn’t the best game in the series.
Slain! has the looks of a classic 8-bit inspired game, but in execution, it is a mess and a half. I really think the game is not finished. While beautiful in its own right, the game play is not there. Add on some bugs, horrible sound choices, and some uninspired combat and you have yourself a game that you will play for 30 minutes and never go back to. I don't suggest this game to anyone in its current state and I doubt it will be completely fixed.
While I’m still not the biggest fan of the sport, UFC 2 is fun to play and see and allows players to try out different things while still having a decent time. The grapples and submissions are sometimes confusing to understand, but the fighting itself is fast, fun, and great to watch. Fans of UFC will get the atmosphere of a real UFC match, while fighting and sports game fans have enough here to have some good fun.
Samurai Warriors 4: Empires is a decent Musou game that is distracted by the Empires lure. It makes up for it with tons of options, even when the tutorial doesn’t really show them off. For the Warriors fans that are looking for hack ‘n slash with small RPG elements involved, I’d say go for standard Samurai Warriors 4. It is a much more condensed game that is a lot of fun to play. People looking for more strategy in their Musou games can find it here, but keep in mind, many of the strategy elements can come across pointless after a while.
I'd say for ten bucks, if you have a buddy to play it with, it's an ok experience, but if you're planning on playing solo, you might want to think twice or at least wait for a sale.
The look has been upgraded and is much sharper now, along with many new animations that make it feel more cinematic. Combine all that with a rather amazing soundtrack and the presentation is top notch, and one that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops is not a bad game, it just has that mobile feel to it that hinders it in many ways. The progression of the player's soldiers, the slow movement, and short missions don't really translate well to the controller.
[I]f you're not a master at these games, they can very well take you some time to complete. Mega Man has never been known as a walk in the park when it came to difficulty and this port tries its best to stay true to the original feel. Fans new and old should most certainly check out this collection. I highly recommend it.
In its current state, I cannot recommend you spend $60 on this title. It is honestly not finished by any means. I understand that Capcom has promised many things to come in free updates, but if that is the case, maybe they should have waited until March to release the full game. The online is far too spotty, and the single player content is a joke currently. Don't get me wrong, the game play itself is fantastic.
All in all, Factotum 90 is not a bad puzzle game. I had a decent little time with it and at the cost of six bucks, I'd say puzzle fans should give it a shot. It's not going to blow anyone's socks off, but the game has a lot of heart. It's a nice little weekend game to play through at least once.
XCOM 2 does everything Enemy Unknown did and improved on it with more variations as well as some very interesting game mechanics. Anyone who enjoyed the first game has no reason not to pick this one up. It has a few performance issues here and here, but it is still a challenging yet rewarding game that made me have every emotion from joyous to devastated. One of the early game of the year contenders for me, and a fine game any strategy fan should own.
If you have any interest in logic puzzles and want to explore a pretty interesting world, the Witness is a must own.
The game play is not going to blow anyone away, but it was interesting enough to keep me entertained for long enough to get my money's worth out of it.
All in all, Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam is still a fun RPG that fans of the previous game will enjoy. The mini games regarding the Paper Toads are really annoying and monotonous after a while, but the core game play is solid and works really well. Top that off with a great art style and some pretty funny humor, and there's still a lot of enjoyment to be had with Paper Jam. I still highly suggest it.
This War of Mine: the Little Ones is pretty fully featured. While not for everyone, it offers a decent experience of survival, base building, and time/resource management. The combat can be weak, and the story or at least the one it's trying to convey is weak. Still, for the fans of survival games like Don't Starve, there's something to be had here.
It's always difficult to talk about pinball tables. While tables are subjective in many ways, I can say I enjoyed my time with both, but had much more fun with Might of the First Order. Both tables are a fine addition to the Zen Pinball series, and fans of pinball should more than likely pick this pack up.
For the board game people, they will find this to be more up their alley. People looking for a more action type experience will have to look elsewhere. If you do decide to pick it up, just keep in mind, it is brutal, unforgiving, and takes a lot of patience to get into. When you do, you may very well find some enjoyment out of it maybe two times out of ten.
