This game doesn’t promise anything groundbreaking within the genre, but fans of classic LucasArts titles should definitely give it a shot, as Earth Must Die has its fair share of strong moments. If that weren’t enough, the outstanding, truly one-of-a-kind voice acting alone might be reason enough to try it out. That said, only take it for a spin once the issues have been fixed.

Fans of The Golden Idol should definitely give it a try, even despite its flaws. It has its strong moments and a distinct atmosphere, and on top of that, the developer’s care and attention are clearly evident. In my view, even if it doesn’t become a cult classic, it will certainly find a small but dedicated fan base.

Slow and strictly a one-time experience. A missed opportunity, as it could have been so much more with the right amount of care.

Despite its somewhat formulaic story, the endlessly adventurous atmosphere carries the entire experience on its shoulders. The only real sources of disappointment are the technical hiccups... assuming, of course, that they aren’t addressed after release.

Overall, the current price tag isn’t too steep, the atmosphere is excellent, but alongside the solo mode, the cooperative mode carries far more weight — the gameplay clearly leans toward solving the puzzles together.
