Aliens Go Home Run is a cracking little arcade inspired title. Mixing elements of Breakout, Galaxian and Baseball, it provides a familiar concept, but one that does something a little bit different. It's a game that you can pick up and play right away, but will take forever to become an expert in.

10 / 10.0 - Thimbleweed Park

Another masterpiece from Ron Gilbert. The game is a joy to play and provides the perfect mix of humour, challenge and engaging storyline. I genuinely have nothing but praise for the game and I can’t recommend it enough.

8.5 / 10.0 - 99Vidas
Mar 13, 2017

If you like Streets of Rage, there’s a good chance you’ll like this. It doesn’t bring anything revolutionary to the table but Qubyte has done a fine job of capturing the essence of the classic beat-em-ups of the ‘90s, and although there’s a little bit of repetitiveness in it, this is a title that’s worth playing.

6.5 / 10.0 - Yesterday Origins

Pacing issues, unnecessary backtracking and some frustratingly complex puzzles mar a title that is well-written and holds a lot of charm. A competent game but one that isn't quite as good as its predecessor.

4 / 10.0 - 100ft Robot Golf
Nov 29, 2016

A great concept that has been executed dreadfully. Not funny enough to be a good parody, not detailed enough for a good simulation. It’s neither funny enough to be amusing or serious enough to be engaging and ultimately never rises above mediocrity.

5 / 10.0 - The Bunker
Nov 4, 2016

The Bunker is a well written short film with some good acting. It’s not really a game though, so it ultimately fails to live up to expectations.

A decent little budget game with a unique mechanic, but fix those crashes guys.

9.5 / 10.0 - Ratchet & Clank
May 16, 2016

Ratchet and Clank is the culmination of Insomniac's vast experience in the field of platformers. It's not just the best platformer on the PS4, it's one of the best games on the PS4 full-stop. A game of the year contender in my opinion.

7 / 10.0 - Infinity Runner
May 1, 2016

An infinite runner game with a slightly different take on the genre and unlike most, a storyline. Not a mould breaker, but this budget title is different enough to make it worth checking out.

If you like old fashioned platformers that are tough as nails but addictive, then you’ll love this. It’s a 16-bit platformer with modern day polish. A tremendous first effort from a small development team, this game deserves to be a big hit.

6.5 / 10.0 - 101 Ways To Die
Apr 18, 2016

With a lot of clever puzzles and a quirky, cartoon style. 101 Ways to Die is a great puzzle game that will keep you entertained for quite a while. As long as you can get it working that is.

8 / 10.0 - Gremlins, Inc.
Apr 14, 2016

Ultimately, this is a game which will not be for everyone. That high level of complexity will be a barrier to a lot of players. But if you have the patience and desire to spend a lot of time picking through the intricacies of the game, then it’s a very rewarding experience and one which I heartily recommend.

6.5 / 10.0 - Heaven's Hope
Mar 7, 2016

Not the best adventure game I've ever played, but it's certainly fun, well drawn and with a decent enough storyline. Fans of the genre will likely enjoy this but it probably won't convert any new fans.

A strong point-and-click game that strikes a good balance between being family-friendly and not too easy as to be no challenge. The game is led by a strong storyline, delivered with great voice acting. If you're a fan of the TV show then you'll love it, but be aware that it may not be that engaging if you haven't seen it.

It's a slow paced game that can be difficult to watch at times but if you want a strong story and all the feels, then this is the one to turn to. It pushes the boundaries of games as art and it's genuinely the most emotional game I've ever played and I can't recommend it enough. Keep Kleenex nearby.

5 / 10.0 - Coast Guard

Not detailed enough for a simulator and not fast paced enough for an action adventure. Coast Guard is a game that needs to decide what it wants to be.

More of the same with a new control scheme and a couple of new features. Nothing new to see but still fun, if you like that sort of thing.

Fans of pinball will like this a lot as the tables are varied and stuffed with content. Fans of the shows will like it too as they cram in a load of references. It's a good game with few negatives. Cross Buy works in an frustrating way though so be careful which system you buy on.
