60 / 100 - ASCENDANCE
May 28, 2019

ASCENDANCE is a playable experience with simple premises and a goal that seeks calm and relaxation as we move forward by jumping between platforms and getting access to all the nodes, and control points, which unfortunately suffers several ups and downs due to technical issues, and certain decisions in the design that may know little or fall into repetition, although the short duration can also be a palliative for this. But if you like the type of game, its low price may invite you to give it a try.

Sky Force Reloaded is a vertical scroll shoot'em up that knows how to give such a classic premise a fresh flavor. From here, fifteen levels full of excitement, shooting, tension, different enemies, and bigger bosses await us. Perhaps the ship's progress system requires excessive star farming, and the difficulty lacks a bit of adjustment, but do not be fooled, the virtues continue to make the game a very remarkable experience.

First compilation in honor of Konami's 50th anniversary, a compilation of arcades from the 80s that, although it includes some classics that gave Konami fame and prestige, it also includes some more questionable titles. The selection of the arcades that make up the compilation, both in quality and quantity, is also questioned, it could have been done a little better. But it must be recognized that the included digital book helps to save the furniture in a more than dignified way, leaving us with an interesting compilation but that could have gone further.

60 / 100 - Blades of Time
Jun 20, 2019

Blades of Time is a mediocre hack and slash in most of its sections but it saves furniture due to its gameplay section rich in variety and conveniently developed, and a fast, dynamic combat, and full of possibilities. The reason for bringing it back to the present day for the Nintendo hybrid is not well understood either, but at least it does so at a reduced price. If you are a fan of this type of games, you may know how to take advantage of Ayumi's adventures in Dragonland.

Contra Anniversary Collection is the third and last collection of Konami for its 50th anniversary and possibly the most complete despite some unjustified absence, and limited to the arcades, the 8 and the 16 bits. However, and thanks to the update with the Japanese versions, now we have the feeling of facing a better game that every fan of the Contra franchise should have. And as in the previous compilations, the inclusion of the digital book full of information and details of the franchise, is a plus that enriches the compilation and makes it almost essential for those who once enjoyed this Konami classic.

80 / 100 - Submerged
Jul 4, 2019

The Uppercut Games game seeks to connect with the player in this adventure through the presentation of an attractive and mysterious world that unleashes captivating art. The pampering of details to create an environment of great beauty, such as lighting, weather, the night sky, or the day-night cycle helps to want to lose ourselves in the waters of this city, while we delight in a melancholic and evocative soundtrack. An experience that is far from perfect, but if it appeals to you in the least, you should try and feel.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr follows the good path taken by its previous expansions, Morrowind and Summerset, perhaps one step behind them, but more for reasons of geographical design that is less striking and more repetitive, than for content, which has It was a success with its necromancer class, its possibility of being an initial zone, and especially the dragons, which were highly demanded by the players.

Dead in Vinland is a game that aptly mixes the genres of survival, resource management, and role with turn-based combat. This adventure of a family of Vikings on an unknown and mysterious island, deserves to be enjoyed but it is not a title for all audiences due to its certain complexity, and the random element present in some of the playable mechanics that can become unfair. But if we accept the challenge, we learn the system, and we are lucky, we will enjoy several hours of Nordic fun.

90 / 100 - Refunct
Jul 23, 2019

Refunct is a game-experience where we must jump from platform to platform while we color these and unlock new areas. For this we will have a repertoire of movements that we will learn without realizing it and naturally, and that make the experience totally fluid because also the control is exquisite. The artistic section and the sound section also do their part, so that when we finish the game, we will be left wanting more, this is its only handicap, the duration does not satisfy our enjoyment, otherwise, great.

Frozenbyte brings us the third part of the Trine saga at the gates of the launch of the fourth part. This third part is probably the most unpopular game in the soul artifact franchise. Not for its overall quality, even high, but for its simplification of mechanics and its duration, possible victims of a development too ambitious for a modest budget and a step to 3D well developed but with a playable cost. Despite all this, and also thanks to its impeccable audiovisual section, the game is still remarkable, highly recommended for anyone, and essential for Trine fans.

Great space epic that just begin it will become a journey of survival and horror, as a successful resource management is indispensable and any mistake is fatal. We will have to make many decisions on which our success will depend in a hostile environment, to return home. The roguelike elements give the title a very successful replayability in order to see the four possible endings. Highly recommended.

75 / 100 - City of Brass
Aug 6, 2019

City of Brass takes us to a lost city in the desert, where our thief will have to explore 12 levels against the clock while fighting with a host of nightmare enemies and avoid many traps, to be able to seize the wonderful treasurers and riches that the City hides. The first person action of this roguelike with procedural generation levels, will offer us a high challenge, although perhaps it ends up being too strict and this makes the game can be repetitive and demoralizing if this style of play is not for us.

Morphies Law: Remorphed is a good multiplayer game, with very original and attractive playable mechanics. Use a base similar to Splatoon to create a team shooter with the peculiarity of stealing mass and the hilarious situations that this causes, all seasoned with a wrap of undeniable originality, the Mexican holiday of the day of the dead. Its biggest handicap is that despite having offline play, its great assets are online, and for this it requires a loyal user base, which a year ago could not retain.

VASARA Collection is a good compilation of two unknown shoot'em up in the West having left exclusively in Japan in the arcade market in 2000 and 2001. An HD filter may be missing, but numerous extras have been added, such as gallery, online ranking, a new equivalent to a new game created by combining elements of the two games and up to four players, and the typical options of choosing difficulty, credits and lives. Learn the history of 1600 feudal Japan as you would have never imagined mixing real historical characters with robots, tanks, mechs... and at an incredible price. If the challenges calls you, highly recommended.

Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is a necessary and sufficient tuning of the Iguana classic. We return to face hordes of enemies in an old school shooter, as its first part the work done is merely technical and graphic, with no addition beyond the gyroscope control. Also this time we have lost something along the way, the multiplayer mode, which without being the highlight of the game, it was an appealing extra which now hangs the doubt of whether it will be launched or not in future updates. Otherwise the game is as good as it was, a classic very easy to recommend.

Finding Sniper Elite V2 Remastered at the beginning can be strange, it is not exactly a game that we want to make a remaster, but Rebellion has found sense to offer us the opportunity to play on our current machines to the game that defined the franchise and as we know it today. For the remaster all downloadable content has been added, and also a photo mode has been added, which together with some extras more, and the relevant technical and graphic upgrade, make up a title that fans of the franchise and other war games will appreciate.

AER Memories of Old is a small wonder, although you have to like this kind of games-experience, because as an adventure it would not work so well, too simple, easy and short. But in conjunction with the free flight and the possibility of enjoying it at any time leaving the story at side, make the game more interenting. If you like this type of games, AER should be a more than remarkable bet.

85 / 100 - Ziggurat
Aug 29, 2019

Ziggurat finally arrives on Nintendo Switch and does not disappoint. Its quality was already contrasted, but the formula still feels fresh despite the fact that the game has been on the market for 5 years. It will catch us in its frenetic and direct gameplay, and soon we will see ourselves repeating levels to unlock more cards and other extras. Also the daily challenges are a good incentive that give variety to the main game mode.

85 / 100 - SUPERHOT
Sep 6, 2019

SUPERHOT is an atypical shooter, almost touching the strategy and the puzzle. Time only advances if we move and that will create the situations where we will be involved in more than 30 levels, to kill all the enemies, as if it were an action movie. Fresh and original, but short and not very replayable, even so, the balance is tilted clearly next to SUPERHOT. Highly recommended.

90 / 100 - Blasphemous
Sep 9, 2019

Action and 2D platforms with a deep and demanding combat system, and game features influenced by the great Dark Souls. All this wrapped in a magnificent pixel art and a perfect setting of a decadent and brutal world, with religion and all its imagery about guilt, sin, punishment, etc. as a central theme We will gladly handle the Penitent through the inhospitable land of Cvstodia, killing any enemy that crosses our path. Great.
