Critic Reviews for Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series
For a short time we feel like a true Jedi, with immersive lightsaber combat mechanics, use of the Force and great locations and characters. But Vader Immortal ends too soon, more like an experience than a complete game.

An inferior experience to PC and Oculus, not in terms of graphics but the frustrating PlayStation Move controllers that make wielding a lightsaber more a pain than a pleasure.
A small story that serves well to introduce new users to the world of virtual reality, but the experience of Vader Immortal is unfortunately very limited and gives very little reason for a new game, after having reached the end credits.

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series succeeds in its goal of making you feel like a Jedi. With a high production value, intriguing plot, and excellent cinematics, the game will leave fans of the franchise in awe. However, with little gameplay and a short runtime, this is more of a VR experience than a game.
Being able to wield a lightsaber and deflect laser blasts, or pull a Stormtrooper up close to skewer them, carries an appropriate amount of weight, and there are many moments where the trappings of VR fade away, and you feel completely integrated into the Star Wars universe. These transcendent moments are many, and when this experience is firing on all cylinders, it’s truly special.
Vader Immortal: a Star Wars VR Series is practically a video game amusement park attraction, and I mean that in terms of lenght as well. But it's still an enjoyable experience that will delight every fan of Lucas' opera omnia for a couple of hours.

A brief jaunt through a side story in the Star Wars universe is made better with some sky-high production values and some fun lore drops. Don't expect a ton of interactivity, though it is fun to throw Stormtroopers around with the Force. A nice side mode allows for endless lightsaber battles, but the main draw is Vader himself, delivered by the game in all of his intimidating glory.
A scripted experience that will certainly appeal to die-hard fans of the Star Wars saga, but less so to others as many PS VR games have done much better before it.
