Critic Reviews for Train Station Renovation
A humble railway station renovator, you set out on a mission to fix every station that comes your way. Train Station Renovation is the latest outing in the simulator genre brought to you by Live Motion Games and PlayWay. Will you simply fix stuff or will you make the station, a "Station"? Let your imagination run wild and showcase your creativity while at the same time ensuring that a station's efficiency is not compromised. Train Station Renovation has so much depth to offer while at the same time staying user-friendly and easy to learn.
Don’t be fooled into thinking Train Station Renovation is just for railheads. Give it a chance and it’ll be the most fun you’ve had cleaning up someone else’s mess.
Renovate the train station, now in Germany as well. It's a non-original, but quite solid relaxation simulation.

Train Station Renovation is a fun and relaxing game, in which the player marks his times. With a correct visual section, without major failures and that is presented as a fresh and different setting for all types of players.

As I mentioned the graphics aren’t groundbreaking. The audio in the game also won’t whisk you into a world of your own. But don’t let that discourage you from playing Train Station Renovation. It’s a very relaxing game which I have sunk many hours into. It is definitely a game that can help you if you’re struggling with any mental health problems or de-stress. Kind of like PowerWash Simulator which Dan previewed here. The gameplay definitely makes up for the standard graphics and audio. I award Train Station Renovation the Thumb Culture Silver Award.
A solid and relaxing simulation game that focuses on restoring Train Stations. However the bugs and simplicity of the gameplay weaken a rather enjoyable experience.
Train Station Renovation killed all my enthusiasms for PlayWay’s simulators. It is a painfully repetitive and uninspired experience. Worst of all, due to technical problems and half-baked ideas for gameplay mechanics, it is simply not fun.

Not a lot of people in the gaming industry know that my day job is currently on the railway. So when I saw Train Station Renovation was releasing on Xbox I had to jump at the chance of playing it. It’s no secret that the railway network in the UK isn’t the best in terms of infrastructure and speed. Delays galore in built-up areas and signalling problems in the more challenging rural areas of the country. The truth is that the railway takes complex logistics to run. It is almost like a giant jigsaw puzzle, if one piece goes missing or wrong then the remainder is in a sticky situation.
